Hound Be tempted to give Camara a go

Possibly this - unless someone else comes in before the deadline to play Rotherham at the weekend.

Zip
Stranded Ince states thst Ejaria "not looking good" but gets full prognosis tomorrow.

So Loum in and Ejaria out. Still only ten fit senior outfield players.

It is fairly worrying that we dont find out the extent of injuries until 4 days have passed. Seems a bit odd that its brushed away like a shrug of the shoulders that they wait this long. Maybe a small insight to our shambolic medical team.

I don't think it is. They'll know the initial prognosis, that he has a hamstring injury, quickly and know he is out. Scans would have taken place over the past 2 days.

Ince will have been focused on last night, which a fit Ejaria wouldn't be near, so likely just that he'll be getting a full update today but would expect he already knew to plan for no Ovie on Saturday.

Not really. From a Saturday game it'd be Monday before any scans can be taken and then 24-48 hours for a specific diagnosis, meanwhile the club will know from experience/initial examination etc. what the likely problem and treatment is, therefore all the diagnosis is doing is essentially determining the the seriousness and identifying anything that can't be easily seen.

Short of the club having their own hospital scanners and associated staff I can't see how things could be much quicker.

Certainly better than 3 CBs, 2 WBs and 3 DMs.

I doubt they really need either as there are private clinics/hospitals where you can pay to get scans done with very little wait. However, from what I understand, it can sometimes be difficult getting reliable outcomes from scans until the initial swelling has subsided a bit.

Was expecting it to be worse, based on what Ince said on Tuesday. Would like to see Camara come in for the month.

Yeah Camara definitely deserves an opportunity unless we can somehow get somebody in before then with more quality/experience, but Camara certainly deserves a chance. It will be a tough game for him though away from home against a physical team.

It’s throughout the squad. When was the last time an outfield player played in all 46 games?

I think you'd be hard pressed to find an outfield player playing all 46 games for the majority of teams in this division, tbf.

Josh Laurent played 45 games in 2020/21

Liam Moore and Chris Gunter played in all 46 games in 2017/18 - which is the most recent.

Think Laurent came close last year. Did Holmes get injured?

Very frustrating though. Just hope Hutchinson is fit

I'd expect a couple to knock in at about 40+ every season, then another 3-5 at 35+.

Obviously verying a bit by squad size, form and rotation.

What is clearly outlandish, is that we seem to be averaging more than 1 injury a week across pre-season and the first few games.

When was the last time we went 5 games without a new injury concern? Feels like a lifetime.

No one back for weekend according to Ince, hopeful Sarr will be involved.

Why was TInce not subbed if he was injured? The game was lost. We have a game on Wednesday night.

What do you mean? An entire 3 months after saying we don't stretch enough Paul has decided to take some action about it.
