Stranded Hoilett has been offered a deal though hasn't he?

We would have known how likely Ince signing was going to be before we offered him one, so I would assume signing both was part of the plan.

Can't recall if Hoilett is confirmed on OS as offered a deal or in talks. But seems like we want him too.

Hoilett initially was one of the 3 players not offered a deal in lieu of other deals and then offered a new deal. However, there's a lot of talk of him wanting to play in the MLS in the run up to the World Cup.

The MLS window opens in July.

I'm not against Hoilett resigning but I'm not sure he'd be a priority any more.

T. Ince must be feeling charitable dropping to peanuts, and on a 3 year deal. Great news though.

He and Scott look very useful for the wings with light-weight Ejaria moving into an advanced central position.

Now we need some tough talking CM's.

Decent to see Ince signing, surprised he's been given a 3 year deal, thought it may have been 2 with the option of an extension but I suppose his wages will be low enough anyway.

Seems like wide players will be the way to go next season then. Hopefully Hoilett resigns, not a major issue if not though.

Great signing and no surprise to see him back.

Lets hope Moore goes the other way.

Can't see it with this injury keeping him out for months potentially.

He's not that bad I don't see why he should resign, can still do a job. He's out of contract anyway so presumably will just wait for that to run out.

I'm assuming the 3-year deals for Ince & (esp) Holmes will include some sort of pay escalation in years 2 and 3 once we're out of the EFL's fiscal grip

Or must that be a nonsense?

Might be worked in with a relegation avoidance bonus as well.

Ince is 30, his career is winding down, there's no way he could expect anything like his previous salary. There's no reason for us to be offering him a boost in later years.

Lets hope he stays motivated once the fans start calling for his dad to be sacked which is bound to happen at some point in the next 3 years.

Would rather have had Hoilett, but Ince will do. Hopefully he recaptures his Blackpool/Derby form.

I would expect so too, and very possibly release clauses, albeit more likely with Holmes. Otherwise that's quite the commitment in our current woeful financial state.

You would hope that as long as we're not in the relegation zone that not even the moronic sections of our fans would be getting on P. Ince's back.

If he was, he'd be a fool to admit it.

In which case, he would.
