Fans Forum with Ince and Bowen next Thursday

by STAR Liaison » 04 Aug 2022 08:29

STAR's first Fans’ Forum of season is with special guests manager Paul Ince and Head of Football Operations Mark Bowen.

It’s on Thursday 11 August in the Princess Suite, SCL Stadium, starting at 7pm. It's free entry but it is a STAR members only event, You can join on the evening at the door - or of course online or at STAR Base on home match days.

We're working hard to provide a remote webinar style access for STAR members who can't get to the stadium for this event.

If you've got a question for our guests that you'd like asked please email it to chair@star-reading.org

And for the many that won't have seen this message before here's the details of STAR membership 2022-23.

For £10 (£5 under 18s and over 65s) joining STAR for 2022-23 gets you:

• Entry (free) to Fans Forum with Paul Ince and Mark Bowen on 11 August
• A 10% off discount voucher for the Fanstore – that could be a fiver off your new shirt
• 20 points added to your Loyalty Points account
• Free STAR enamel badge for the first 500 to join
• Access to away coach travel with STAR – which might be handy when fuel is £2 a litre

And you’ll be helping support our work for the good of the game as a whole, in this crucial year when we’re hoping the Govt will implement all the recommendations of the Fan Led Review.

Join online today at https://star-reading.org/join-star or at STAR Base on home match days

If you offer remote access as standard for these I'd probably sign up. No way I'm spending £50 to get to one in person. Not to consider the travel time.

I believe that technology has just about advanced to the level where we can watch people in one room whilst we're in another room entirely!

First question should be to ask how on earth the club has managed to rack up almost double figure injuries in the squad already. Perhaps they need to ask Barry Fry for advice on lifting curses.

Not at all, just pointing out that your condition for joining has already been met.
Mr Ince is looking forward to your incisive questioning, he will learn a lot from you.

Just got arrested by BTP, they wouldn’t accept my membership card as proof I didn’t need a ticket.

Speaking to the FSF and hopefully they will cover my legal costs. I have already referred the BTP to Pepe’s post as proof.

The Free Software Foundation? Do you reckon they can help you?

I'd suggest trying the FSA - although go for the footy version, not the Food Standards Agency, as that'll leave a nasty taste in the mouth.

We love all these legendary STAR benefits! In keeping with the club's 'royals' kit policy STAR membership may soon allow you to wear any clothes you like anywhere and grant you free access to all royal palaces and the royal family itself.
