Ince doubtful with a calf strain, Bowen has a dodgy hamstring. Expecting to see work experience lad from the marketing department and a junior groundsman fielding the tricky questions....

I was surprised but happy to see how honest Ince and Bowen are about our challenges and where things have gone wrong for the club. I thought they'd be a bit less out spoken, it's whats needed with the owner being shy from the spotlight.

Aim must be to stay up this season and nothing more. If we do that we should have a better future ahead as I feel as though there's a plan.

So sounds like the Sarr deal puts us over the wage limit until we ship someone out

Puscas should go freeing that up but shows were pretty much at the limit of where we can be

Ince and Alex Rae did say that the players had a really intensive pre- season and are a lot fitter than last season. They have increased the amount of training with weights as well. Some of the current injuries are old injuries re-surfacing because of all the hard work they have been doing.
The players this season will also be out and about more doing Charity events, hospital visits etc(lacking in 21/22)

Interesting comments for me were
- both Ince and Bowen basically said they had been given a ‘blank sheet of paper’ by the owner to rebuild the club structure. Stressed the owner is still very keen, willing to provide financial support . Seems there is a real desire to change the way the club operates.
- circumstances around Bowen leaving previously were described very differently to how every one assumed.
- recognised that the relationship with the fans had not been what it should be. Bowen said it’s his job to make sure we are communicated with and both said they would be up front and honest.

As ever it was an enjoyable evening , hope the online participants got the benefits too.

Although it was said quite specifically that Sarr has signed, which must be interesting legally if the deal hasn’t been ratified. Presumably he’s not being paid and we’ve not got ourselves tied in to a deal for a player who can’t actually play for,us ?

Unless it's a Barcelona-like situation where we can't actually register the player yet?

This doesn’t surprise me at all This is a big problem because we are clearly struggling to get a decent fee for Puscas or loan him out on decent terms.

Bowen did also say that he`s not playing because they don`t want to risk him getting injured.

Interested to hear more on Bowen leaving last time - I assume it was more amicable than was portrayed?

We may well be paying him but if he isn't registered, his wages likely don't count towards the squad budget. Looks like we just need proof that Puscas or someone is on the way out for the registration to happen. Frustrating if it's true that the EFL switched their stance from allowing the signing and then us balancing the books to the other way round but completely understandable and correct really.

Shows we really need to get the last couple of big spenders out asap, if we want to add more strength in depth.

Given we've had several offers on the table for Puscas and haven't accepted them, I find it hard to blame the FL for not trusting us, given our track record.

Don’t blame them at all, but depends on whether they first indicated we could only to change their mind on it
