I had one from 1981/82 to 2015/16 and this season. Not sure I’ll renew as ideally I like to go to more away games about half and half if possible. I enjoy the day out and the generally the better atmosphere.

First season ticket was 74/75 in Norfolk Road B stand. Season tickets for the terraces were not available then IIRC. Think my first season ticket for the Tilehurst End was 83/84.

Delboy Went to my first game in 1958 with my father , regularly since 1966, season ticket holder since 1970 . Now have 6 season tickets with my 2 sons , 3 grandsons in 1871 a true royals family !

Fair play, the winner, surely.

I’ve been going on and off since 1968, aged 7, lots of away games too. Never had a season ticket, mind.

Had one continuously since 2015/16. Had one in 2013/14 as well plus 2009/10. So my 9th as a season ticket holder.

Didn't even cross my mind to get a ST at Elm Park. Rocked up, paid in cash, took our usualish place on the South Bank. Had one ever since we moved to the Mad Stad.

My son and I since 1998. Prior to that I used to attend games just as much (probably more so) but just paid cash at the Tilehurst Rd turnstiles.

I think you are right about season tickets not being available for the terraces and I only ever went in the stands at Elm Park once, when my son was mascot v Plymouth in Jan 1982 (2-2 with goals from Beavon and Dixon).
Incidentally as mascot my lad was allowed in the dressing-room for Maurice Evans' team talk which I can't see happening now.

So I can't be sure exactly when I got the first season ticket but probably when they first became available as Ark believes in 1983 and my two kids would have had them at the same time and my run is unbroken.

I can't beat Delboy on length of season ticket holding but can on first game which was March 1954 (Reading 4 Norwich 4 with Ronnie Blackman scoring one of many that he got for us).
As with Delboy, son, daughter and grand-daughters have held season tickets at various times despite all of us living away since 1971.

Think terrace season tickets at Elm Park became available early 1980's, Can defs remember having a terrace ST for the South Bank when Maurice Evans was manager

I had one in the early 1980s and then decided not to bother as it was just as easy to pay cash at the turnstiles and would pick and choose the games to go to. I got one for the final season at Elm Park and I’ve had one at the Mad Stadium since it opened. I must admit at the start of this season was the first time I was really close to not buying one. But I’m glad I did as on the whole not only has our home record improved most of the games have been quite entertaining.

Don't think that's going to be beaten. However, my Dad and Granddad had season tickets in the sixties and when Granddad died at Christmas 1967, I had his ST for the remainder of that season. Dad couldst afford to renew them the following season so I waited until the Mad Stad era before I got mine.

I have had one since 83/84 season....over the years our group has expanded to include my wife, son, daughter, mum and nephew.

Probably moving out of the area later this year but the intention is to keep the season tickets....

Hi
Watched first game v Southampton in I think 1957. Regular since 1962 which was H Bristol City. Probably only missed about 5 or so games at most at home during 60 years. Moved to Chichester, Bristol,Bradford and Manchester but still came back for home games. Had season ticket from around 1974. Visited 65 away grounds (mostly Reading away) Also had away season ticket for the first season in Premiership. My daughter's partner is an ex Reading player as well

First game 1969 but did not bother with ST in the Elm Park Days, played local park football so only went early/late season and midweek games. Used to blag my way in for the odd half game if we had a 2pm ko at Prossie Park.
Got my first season ticket "off plan" from the protakabin on the building site that is now the Madstad, gave that up a few years ago and tend to pick and choose my games now.
