Stranded Honestly, if the points come off today - I just want us to attack, attack, attack every single game - I'd rather go down trying to win games than go down trying not to lose them.

I know we only need to match results of the bottom 3 but they are going to win games, so, so do we.

Paul Ince says no.

I do agree but I am pretty sure PInce will think we are just 8 draws away from safety.

Oh, I know I am pissing into the wind on that one but with the players we likely have left standing, attack is probably the only form of defence that we have.

I agree. Ince's approach will be to crawl his way to draws or 1-0 wins which given the players we have could well be fruitless. We are entering Clement-esque levels of football.

URZZZZ
Crowbar6753 So Saturdays team sheet is going to be interesting. I really don't see how P.Ince will be able to go with his preferred ultra negative 5-3-2 with our current list of injuries? Unless Meite returns as CB :D :D

With Ince out injured there goes our main source of any creativity gone!! Would be inclined to try and take the game to Brizzle and use Meite and Azeez as our attacking outlets and just try and get the ball into the box for Joao and hopefully he'll hit form.

With tomorrows 6 point deduct we really need to get back to winning ways ASAP and this game against a middle table Brizzle has to be one of the games we look to get something out of.

We still have the personnel to use the 5-3-2/5-2-3. Something like:

Lumley

Mbengue
Holmes
Sarr

Yiadom
Hendrick
Casadei
Fornah
NGW

Meite
Joao

Will leave an extremely weak bench mind

That's a terrible side.

Well you can’t say it’s not a side that should be able to have a go. And some decent young options too!

Weirdly I thought that wouldn’t be far from what you would choose with everyone fit

Don’t think it’s any more terrible than most of our line ups this year tbh

Yeah it’s as good as we’ve got so let’s go with it.

Would like to see Ehib and Abrefa get a run out

Mistakes, inconsistency, lack of ball control, nervousness etc etc

I see the Twatter Twits have decided on Andy Carroll being the scapegoat this week.

On the plus side, it looks like half of them who were planning a tantrum (sorry, protest) at the game are unable to get there due to flooding on the trains.

5 at the back is shit, no width because the wing backs will be stuck defending. It's got no defensive midfielder to screen, Meite can't play central and he doesn't work in a pair with Joao. Sarr isn't very good. I like Fornah but he's quite error prone (looks to have gone backwards under Ince)

It's a bit better with Carroll in, because at least he'll win the hoofs, although they won't drop to anyone.

Adi has just asked who will create our chances without Ince.

Well it's NGW isn't it. He frequently causes problems. Azeez would be a decent bet if he was playing.

Meite if he was bullying fullbacks on the right, maybe.

Did they all wet themselves at Didcot Parkway?

Looks like a transition between 5 and 4 at the back depending on defence or attack.

Whilst I still think Burnley won't get the points record, obviously, it would be nice to take that opportunity from them, when we play them next and come away with at least a point.

Brilliant by Lumley just now.

Awful earlier on by Meite, should have really put it away.
