Lets hope that things even themselves out and Reading have a decent goal disallowed at Villa

As mentioned previously, it almost, but not quite, atones for the shocking goal we conceded against them in the Coca Cola cup back at EP.

My reaction to that comment is one of mild indifference.

You can tell it's a sunday night when aggro's fishing is of such low quality.

Please come up with something better than that - it's what Stephen would've wanted.

Do you think we've used all of our luck in one game. No your right boro just couldn't handle of pace and tempo for the full 60 mins. (-first 30 Mins)

In my considered opinion, the habit they have on MOTD and other progs of freezing the action at the exact moment the pass is made does linesmen no favours at all. In actual fact the ball was passed at pace and Viduka was motoring forward at speed, and he was well offside nanoseconds after the pass was struck. I would expect that everyone who was inline with the play (including the lino) and seeing it at normal speed would have seen it as Clearly Offside, not even close. And the linesman gave it as offside therefore it was. :D

During normal time @ the game & on Match of the Day Viduka clearly looked off-side, but the slow-mo replay shown him behind behind Sonko, let alone level.

Suppose these thinks happen & we'll be moaning & slagging off Lino's in forthcoming coming fixtures!

Even in a slow-motion replay he would have looked offside imho. It's only when you freeze the action that you can say that he was onside. It's not a bad decision by the linesman, I don't think any linesman on any day could have or would have called it onside. Everyone's saying that we dodged a bullet, I don't think we did. And Boro should have had 2 players sent off anyway. As escapes go it's nothing like (for example) when Harper tackled some Blades forward at head-height in the penalty area last season....

We also had several chances later in the game to score that we decided to try and play out time instead. We also took off two of our most dangerous players with time to go.

The arguement that Boro's dissallowed goal could have changed the game doesn't really wash for me.

I'm sure we'll have our fair share of dodgy decisions going against us, but lets face it. that was the right result.

Spot on RA, let's hope Riggott gets sent off as well when he chops down Solskjaer and does his ligaments again. I hope Rochemback gets sent off when he elbows Ronaldo and Rooney in the face too. I hope these incidents even themselves out throughout the season...

Myself and others around me were amazed he was given offside because from our position (Y21) he looked onside, so I completely disagree with your comment.
