Steward watch at Sheffield

by oldebiscuit » 17 Sep 2006 19:43

Silly woman that directed me to main grandstand when stood next to away fans entrance; 1 out of 10

Korean looking stewards/workers that abandoned their posts to watch Seol's outstanding performance; 5 out of 10

Total oxf*rd with major attitude problem that tried to stop Marcus from throwing his shirt to his admiring hordes; NIL POINTS!

It did make me laugh how the guy who tried to stop Marcus handing his shirt to the crowd looked like someone had pointed a gun at him when it turned ugly and over a thousand of us were shouting W*NKER! at him.

Didn't I read Marcus' lips correctly and see him tell the steward to oxf*rd off? 8)

I saw a bloke and son following him out also... Unless it was him to come back in and collect his son, of course...

i herd it was cos he kept standing but not entirely sure but they kicked the dad and 1 son out leaving the 8 year old son crying and another reading fan looked after him. the police and stewards were pretty heavy handed although heard the 15/16 year old son got a few punched off.

I can see steward watch becoming a regular feature here on hobnob.

Yes, it does matter, if we are all to understand each other. The occasional slip is forgivable but generally low standards of spelling and grammar are just not acceptable in the premier league.

I missed Doyle's goal because an idiot steward wouldn't let me through the correct gangway, but insisted that my seat was 'somewhere down there'. Why don't they get people who at least know their way around the oxf*rd stadium?

There is a large turnover of staff and often stewards have to be brought in by bus from miles away to ensure the correct numbers. That's why!

"In the grand scheme of things", yes it does!

If someone is incapable of spelling a simple English word, why should anything he or she has to say be taken seriously?

Ditto, newbie!

Having had my ticket stub returned to me and noticing that the Gangway letter was now no longer there I went up to some OB on the concourse. They pointed me to a steward in Gangway E, who told me to go to Gangway D who then told me to go to Gangway C where I finally got told to sit wherever I wanted.

That's a problem I had aswell - what sort of shit ticket design doesn't actually tell you how to get to your seat once the stub has been ripped off?

Stewards that stood out for me...

Sonkos fat brother with the fat afro who was sat behind the goal in the first half.

The Pat Butcher type who was standing at the bar between gangway C & D at half time.

The c*nt who tried to out-keep our keeper.

The fat bald twat who was inviting us Royals fans to start something at the end of the game.
