It seems there a lot of people optimisitc about our chances at Fulham. Might be worth reminding a few people Fulham have a very good home record and are currently 8th in the league. If we get a point from that fixture, we would have done well.

M4 Junction 11 I think we'll double what we've got now from those next games.

I would agree with that, unfortunate that Spurs seem to running into form I reckon we will do well to get a draw now. Newcastle should be 3 pts, just hope Roeder is still there.

I don't think it is Roeders fault entirely.. The fact that all his strikers are injured isn't helping him too much at the moment. Oh, and he inherited a defence that includes Titus Bramble.

As I said before the Liverpool game for us to get 12 points more by the end of the year would take some doing.
I still think so and reckon it will be 6-8 points from these games at best.
If we got 12 or more without Kitson playing I would be over the moon but if we continue just to let teams come at us so much and concede possession I foresee a real relegation scrap ahead.

I agree, we can take points off these teams if we play to the best of our ability.

No sweat.

He has been unlucky wth injuries and Bramble in defence is worth a goal to the oppostion every game, Roeder really fouled up at West Ham but he was suffering from a brain tumour which could have had a lot to do with it. Still nothing he has done at Newcastle would suggest that he has what it takes to be a good manager.

Can't be arsed to forecast points but in my opinion we are going down unless we make important signings in January. At least we can get back to playing at 3pm on Saturday's if we do get relegated.

I'd be reasonably happy with 8 points from those games, come Xmas still on target for 40 points. Any more than that would be most excellent.

What is more important to me is that over those 8 games we get some shots at goal. Quite understandable that we've been mostly defending against the big four (and probably will against Spurs) but in this run of games we have to go for it.

Also like to see us convert the odd corner or two for a goal - our corner count is impressive until you think about what we've done with them.

I'd be very happy with 10 points from that lot, I can't see us beating Spurs and Bolton (and possibly Newcastle depending on whose fit to play!), but I think a point of each of the rest is more than achievable. I'm be surprised with more than 39 points come the end of the season (looking at the fixtures I could only see, crystal ball and teabags, a further 26!).

If we've got over 20 points by Xmas I'll be happy enough - we'll be exactly halfway through the games so to have over half of the "magical" 40 points will mean we're well on track.

So Charlton and Blackburn at home and Watford away ought to be realistic targets to get 9 points from - giving us a minimum of 22 points at the halfway stage.

I am suprised at the optimism about the Watford game, we were unable to beat them last year when we were flying. They look like they've improved this season, whereas I'm not convinced we have.

Agreed. I think a boring 0-0 is on the cards. Also people also seem to the think the Fulham away game is a guaranteed 3 points.

Chaney
Rob-Royal That's very achievable and will mean at the 1/2 way stage we should only require the same amount of points again from the reamining 19 games to stay in the prem.

These 8 games are going to be massive, not least as we're home for 5 of them, No13 will need to be at their best which I have no doubt we will be.

We all know, Coppell especially, that these are the games which will make or break our season and with players like Convey, Kiston & Murty returning from injury will be a defining chapter in how we will do....

remaining 19 games?..remember we must play the big 4 again so make that 15

So we may as well not bother turning up then....? This will be the sharp end of the season for those 'big 4' you mention too and we have one of those at home as well so always have a chance...ie ManU...

Besides, who are the big 4...? Right now Portsmouth & Bolton are 3rd & 4th.....
