RG30 Why's everyone saying Scott Murray? Apart from a very impressive opening half few games, he did little afterwards when SC came in and wasn't 100% settled in Reading and we took the right decision.

I think at the time we didn't have a decent alternative at right wing and for him to go we were weaker.

Suppose that's true but SC said at the fans forum shortly after we have signed a pre contract agreement with an unamed player, who was ex Palace, and of course it turned out to be Glen Little.

Simon Osbourne, Gilksy, darren Caskey, Darius Wdowckych (seplt wrong in know) but to be honest most upseting was when Mark Mghee left.

I was disappointed when the playing services of Kevin Dillon were no longer required, obviously it didn't last long once I'd seen his replacement Simon Osborn :D

Cureton, natural goalscorer. I recall many posters here saying he wasn't good enough for Championship level!

The other player I haven't seen mentioned, is Nathan Tyson, thought he had masses of potential. Could not believe the move to Wycombe!

You know that you've spelt Dariusz Wdowcyzk's surname. But are you aware that you've also spelt Simon's surname wrong too? :x

And McGhee's name too, though I deliberately refer to him as McGhoo.

windjammer What about how Lita ALLEDGEDLY lost his Championship Medal when he had a slight disagreement with a "lady of the night" over payment while out cruising in his Hummer and the said lady nicked the medal. Plus all the other ALLEDGEd stories. He is trouble and we should get shut of him in January and get 2 new strikers in if Kits is still out.

You hear a lot of shite. Lita's medal was stolen in a burglary.

From inside sources, did you expect the officail line to tell the truth. Anyway if during the ALLEGED incident the lady took the medal then surely that is a burglary?

Most gutted would have to be Shaka, Osborn and Taylor all going in the same summer right after we came so so close to the Prem. Since then there have been a few (Lovell, Curo, Caskey, Adie...twice) but the most recent would be Butler, as in effect we had replaced him with Shaun Goater, who I never wanted us to sign in the 1st place.

Most pleased when he left would be Hughsey. He was versatile, worked hard and had one good season for us, but on the whole was absolutely shite, and in his last season crossed it into the stand more times than i dare to remember without getting angry again. I was surprised and ecstatic we got £500,000 for him.

1/2 million was a fantastic amount to get for a player who's ability only peaked at a consistent Div 3 (old) player.

Suprised he's not been mentioned yet, but I felt pretty gutted when Ricky Newman left. Always gave 100% whether he was playing central midfield, centre back, right back or left back. Then again, I was nowhere near as gutted when Curo left. Very gutted with that.

Caskey or Cureton both for different reasons as they used to be my 2 favourite players when they were at the club, closely followed by Forster. I thought at the time we could have done more to keep Caskey, and the whole contract situation seemed a total mess. We turned down a 750k bid from Wimbledon and promised him a new contract, then changed our minds. Its no surprise his performances went down the pan from then on, and it probably affected the team too, with an unhappy Caskey not performing.

As for Curo, his desire for 1st team football meant he was never going to sign a new contract at the end of our first season in the Championship in 2002/2003 while Pardew was here. As things turned out, and given the injuries we had with our strikers afterwards, he probably would have played a big part in the team under Coppell.
