Magpies 1-2 Royals.

A tight affair and very scrappy unattractive football from both sides.

Sibierski for Newcastle

Ingimarsson & Doyle for Reading, Ivar's from a corner, Doyle fed in by Oster

On a slightly different note

The Official Site The Royals flew up to the north east on Tuesday afternoon, and it's the first time under Coppell's management the team have flown to a game.

Steve is mindful of the pitfalls that road travel can sometimes bring, using our successive August trips to Aston Villa and Wigan as good examples. "You have to do as much as you can.

"After the Villa game there were roadworks at Spaghetti Junction, then on Friday we were up to Wigan and that's no fun on the M6. Out of 48 hours we had around 11 on a bus; not ideal."

I wonder if they'll have to get the coach back? The players' weren't too chuffed with that arrangement after the Sunderland game a few seasons ago.

Rhys The Royal
SWLR
Big Ern
T.R.O.L.I. Litre to make a sub's appearance

Along with Glen Lidl

Think he may get a start ahead of Jon Oyster

On the other side, Nicky Storey isn't doing badly is he.

Looks like what we would have been on Pro Evo a few years back.

Newcastle United 2-1 Reading

1) Doyle to snatch a consolation in the last 5 minutes when we eventually start to play some football.

2) My internet feed to not work, forcing me to go to the pub.

3) Huntley and Palmer to not pull in the city afterwards and resort to bashing his own out in Jury's afterwards.

My evening is based on a Reading WIN.

On form alone, Reading are an outstanding prop. One goal conceded (pen) in last four games. Newcastle struggling.

Seems to pushing it to expect a win, but a surprise - no.

Can't see Toon scoring, go for 1-0 Reading, possibly 2.
