The opposition teams have figured out that Shorey's right foot is for standing only. They are overplaying him and forcing him inside. That is leaving him out of position when the opposition counter attacks as well as reducing his crosses into the box.

IMHO, shorey has been one of the stars of the season so far and I don't know why you are blaming him and other people of the team just because we've conceded goals. No one in defence has played premiership football before so what do you blimmin expect. We're 9th in the prem so there shouldn't be any anti-player threads on here. I must admit that some of the team have been below par in recent games but everyone in the team has shown great character to work their absolute socks off when we haven't been performing well and nicking the odd goal or two. Everbody makes mistakes and shorey is like everyone else who trys his absolute hardest to help the team and he can only perform to the best of his ability and that should be good enough for people not to critisise him.

Funny how Shorey's so-called poor form has coincided with Convey's absence and the inclusion of Hunt. He got forward and looked much better on Tuesday.

I sometimes wonder whether the people on here are true Reading fans.

The players can only play at 110% for so many games & every now and then they wont play at 100%........

This doesnt make them rubbish, it just makes them human.

ReadingFC as a team are playing above themselves at the moment and long may it continue.

Shorey's run of poor form continues.

Instrumental in only four of today's six goals. For a left back must do better.

Absolutely outstanding. Is there a sweeter left foot in the country?

I think there were a large number of West Ham players today who would have dreamed of having Shorey's right foot.

Maybe thats the solution to out left back 'problem' defensively - get a new one and move Shorey forward into Convey's position - god he was devastating today having had the defensive duties taken away from him (by West Ham's dreadful performance).

he had a great game today and has been excellent all this season. would love to see him in an england shirt but it's just the case of him being seen and i think if he keeps playing like he has so far he may have a chance.

He was a 'kin sight better than the England capped twat playing for the Appy Ammers. Seems Leighton Baines is flavour of the season though.

What problem? How many goals are often Shorey's fault? Next to none you plank.

i don't see him tackle enough for a defender, maybe sticking him on the wing would be good :?

but i think he is one of the best players i have seen play, live, in my life

a real england prospect if not overplayed

I'd forgotten it was 50 years since West Ham's defence could mark properly.
