I've heard that both teams will be playing understrength teams to save their key players for the big games.

I firmly believe that both Ferguson and Coppell put this game into the "Carling Cup" category.

I heard Ferguson will be dropping Rooney and bringing back Bobby Charlton in his place.

No, I heard after a week of careful strategizing Fergussen opted to hand us three points and prepare for Newcastle.

I'm hopeful we might string a few results together, but knot if we play like we did against Everton.

We could try lacing United's water bottles with laxatives. A plan without a hitch.

carling cup game approach ......... this is OLD TRAFFORD, for our boys the biggest most prestigeous game of the season, of their lives, ever

i can imagine sidwells reaction if he is dropped for a rest before the west ham game ....

they will desperately want something out of this game, if not a win a tie

Given the absence of Scholes and Vidic and the morale booster at Stamford bridge I have a feeling the hoops could well cut loose.Bookies odds suggest we will be firmly against the ropes but if Ronaldo can be shackled ,Glen weave his magic and the team knit together like we know they can the super royals could well undo Fergies plans come saturday.

If their defence is a bit loose, we may be able to tie them up and secure a result; however ensuring Ronaldo doesn't twist and turn all over the place is going to fray everyone's nerves.

A knotty problem indeed, and one that may cause Coppell's plans to unravel.
