kirkrich So hijacking my original question... It was 5th April 1980, 1-0 against Plymuff, but who scored? How can I find out? Also, while I'm on a trip down really bad memory lane, what was Fozzies last game?

Last Forster game was Vs Wigan, May 8th 2005

http://www.royals.org/matdoc/080505.html

According to "Heaven On Earth", Official History of Reading FC the goalscorer was Ollie Kearns, and because I'm so nice, the team line-up was as follows;

1) Death
2) Joslyn
3) White
4) Bowman
5) Hetzke
6) Moreline
7) Kearney
8) Williams
9) Kearns
10) Sanchez
11) oxf*rd

Attendance: 7,709

biscuitsrus Im with JMW on this one I was too young to remember the actual game but I think I can narrow it down to either Workington or Rochdale circ 74/75.

Its funny that I remember going to wrestling at the Old Town Hall and watching Jackie Pallo, The Faulkners, Bert Royal et al but my actual first game escapes me.

Its funny but when I was young my dad for reasons best known to himself always went in the Town End where the away supporters were housed!

I never asked my dad why the away end but I think he was lazy and we would have had further to walk, but you all will be happy to know that I progressed to the Tilehurst End finishing my education in " The South Bank"

I must ask him next time I speak to him.

When you go back that far there wasn't really any segregation of fans,so Town end just as ok as any other (unless it was raining) :)

First game 1970,can't remember who it was as I was only 5 at the time!

Reading v Genoa. Friendly at Elm Park around 93/94. That would of made me about 5/6.

Preston 1 Reading 1 April 14th 1992

Senior on target for the Royals. There were about 50 fans in the away end (we counted - I was 11...) We equalised in the 86th minute - remember walking away enthused...

Just had a look at the results that year - Fulham, Birmingham, West Brom and Bolton all in the 3rd division - how times have changed!

Swindon 4 - 0 Reading, FA Cup First Round
Swindon scorers: Anderson, Eastoe, Lenarduzzi (og), Moss (pen)

A difficult birth but I've just about recovered, over 32 years later!

11/5/77

Home to Rotherham. Lost 0-3 having beaten them at their place the previous Saturday to keep alive our slim chance of staying up.

Back down to the 4th Division!

30th Anniversary beckons!

Agree with one of the previous posters that only those of us who've seen Reading play in the bottom division are allowed to moan about the current team (not that there's much to moan about!).

BenReadingFC 03 September 1994 Reading vs Millwall 0-0

Same as.

Quinn with a header that was disallowed for a push on the defender. If my memory serves me correctly.

SmellyAli My first game was a trip to Wembley for the Simod Cup final and my second was the 1995 Play Offs, but after that I was quite busy so didn't make it to another game until the 2001 Play Off Final in Cardiff.

I've got a season ticket this year though so I've been to half a dozen games. URZ!

Smelly Ali knows what they are and is quite proud of it! Well done you!

My first game was in about October 1981 - I have no idea who we played, what the score was or the crowd number. However, I do remember Gary Heale played and I just watched him for the whole game. He left soon after that.
