Just saw injury update on OS and there is something about P Mate. Anyone know what is the status of this guy - thought he was on season long loan, so I'd have thought he'd have either been sent home or had his loan made permanent/renewed. But I can't remember an announcement on this ... ?

Loans been renewed till January last I heard, in order to give him a chance to prove himself following his injury

I doubt it would be alot, I presume players playing in the Hungarian leagues don't get paid alot. There's nothing to say that were even paying all his wages (even though we probably are).

I doubt he'd be able to live in this area on his Hungarian wages.

We'd be paying him an English wage I'd hope...

I doubt you'd get away with bringing in a load of Chinese players and paying them 50p a week !

I expect he's being kept because he stayed here during his recovery and learnt to speak english. He shown he wants to do well here, so Coppell is giving him the chance to prove it, which is what he deserves in my opinion.

Mate has proven to RFC management that he "wants" to play for RFC, Halford has in some way shown that he does not have the drive or commitment that they are looking for.

Or it could be that another club has offered Â£3m + for Halford but no offer has been received for Mate
