OS is making all the right noises about Pearce starting (we shall see!), but who will be alongside him? Cisse?

Won't be fit and still might not be OK for Saturday according to OS.

Can't see him risking Ingi, so who else?

actually reckon copps could give pearce and bennett the chance to reforge their reserve league winning partnership
not worth risking ingimarson for is it
but id fear for them against spurs, they cant do any worse
even sodje is looking a good prospect for us at the moment, at least hes a bit quick

Bennet isn't eligible as he was still on loan when the first game was played. Robson-Kanu & Doobs are injured. Karacan & Golbourne are cup-tied.

I would guess at Gunnarsson over Cisse, but I can't see Coppell risking Ivar.

Whoever plays alongside Pearce, and I'm asuming he'll start, it'll be a baptism of fire for the lad. Playing alongside Doobs or Ivar would've be much more preferable as their experience could've helped him through. As it is he'll be part of a makeshift defence and thats far from an ideal scenario.

If Bennett was available he might've got the nod as he and Pearce have played together a bit for the reserves from what I remember, but he's ruled out too so we really are down to the bear bones.

The team I want/expect to see:

Federici

Rosenior
Pearce
Gunnarsson
DLC

Henry
Cisse
Harper
Convey

Lita
Long

Hunt
Cox
Murty
Sigurdsson/Bozanic
Hahnemann

It'll be a damn shame if he doesn't play the same team that earned the replay. They earned it and they should all ( if they're fit) get a chance to try and get a win.

And Doobs is injured.

Thats 3 enforced changes and I'd be surprised if Coppell risks his one fit experienced centre half in the cup, so Ivar probably won't play either, making four changes.

Gosh, that Ivar dilemma’s a tough one, isn’t it? I hadn’t even considered him not playing, but of course it’d be a huge risk as he’s our only fit first-team CB. So, Pearce and Gunnar/Cisse up against Berbatov and Keane? Yikes! I guess that’s Gunnar man-marking Berbatov and DLC on Keane (again)? Team would therefore be:-

Fed
Rosenior
DLC
Gunnar
Pearce
Hunt
Cisse
Harper
Convey
Lita
Long

Subs:

USA
Ivar
Doyle
Henry
Cox

I would like to see:

Federici
Rosenior Pearce Ingimarsson Shorey
Hunt Cisse Harper Convey
Lita Kitson

Wont be though!

Dubs, 50-50 for saturday, decision would be taken at the last minute

yet now he has no chance of being fit for tomorrow night

How does that work?

With so many players unavailable I think you may well be about right - although SC may risk Ivar after all if he goes 442. We do have Bennett back for the league games if needed - although he is untested at PL level. Henry may get a start but unlikely on past team selections.

Back line is a tough issue, but remember, Hunt started at left back. Ingi on the bench to cover.
