I reckon we're going to make Marcus feel at home by adopting an American football style approach.

The Pole sits on the bench and is brought on as sub every time we give away a penalty!!

I guess we could move Marcus outfield in place of an outfield player and once penalty is saved put him back in goal, take off Kowalewski and replace him with a substitute outfielder.

Should work fine (we rarely use all our subs anyway) provided we can restrict opponents to one penalty per game!

Most keepers are!

Usually way above average intelligence for footballers but a tendency towards fruit cakes at the same time.

Excellent idea...but only if the penalty and substitution happens in the last 10 minutes (we don't do subs any earlier than that)

PlasticRoyale Coppell is signing players with difficult names to spell purely as a means to get back at the HNA? keyboard warriors

To be fair he'd only have to go for someone with a name longer than two letters to achieve that.

Can I just point out that after 5 pages he still hasn't signed for us.

Do you think this'll make 10 pages?

or even six?

Looks like at least a short-term contract is on the cards:

Whether the player will be happy with that is open to question.

Would give him a chance to prove himself at least.

Not if he's only signed as cover!

Seems to be a strange thing to be saying - hey here's a GK in his prime, with Champions League and International experience and we're going to sign him as 'cover' for our GKs; i.e. as cover in case Fed gets injured. I must say if I were him, I'd not be jumping for joy ....

Could just be a public line.

We've got a big game tomorrow so not best to be for MH confidence (which is low as it is) by saying we're going to bring this guy straight in.

I'm sure, in private, if they want this guy they'll selling it a bit more.

I don't think that stacks up with only offering him a short term deal though.

I have to say a short term deal to get a real idea of who and what this guy is makes a lot of sense to me.

As long as he feels that starting jersey could be his if he plays hard enough.

Or he might just go on to look at what another club can offer.

I meant more in training, here till the end of the season, show us you deserve the number 1 shirt. I'd hope if we signed him we'd at least get a look of him in the 1st team.

Even if it is a short deam deal, I think Wojciech will settle for that if it means putting himself in the shop window amongst English clubs. The challenge is for him to dislodge Hahnemann.

Which if Coppell is lookingat it with a 'neutral's hat on and wil pick the best team, shouldn't be that difficult in all honesty, if this guy is any good.

He can't be any worse than USA or Fed.
