by winchester_royal » 15 Jul 2008 17:52

Team:

Hahnemann

Rosenior
Ingi
Bennett
Shorey

Kebe
Sigurdsson
Karacan
Convey

Lita
Kison

Will be interesting to see how the two young lads get on in the middle.

Gylfi's been off everyone's radar, but obviously getting some consideration this pre-season. What's up with Illugason? Is he out of favour?

Bit weird that doyle n lita are playing up front together again - maybe an indication that copps is planning for life without kits???

Vic's a bit younger isn't he? Or maybe just behind Kitson, Doyle, Lita, Long and Church and therefore nowhere right now.

I wouldn't underestimate FG... a draw would be a good result, IMO

Don't know alot about Sigurdsson, but I do know that he is another youngster with a bright future, but is he a creative player or more of a tackler?

So presumably Doyle-Long for the second half.

Nope....they will be playing against Havant and Waterlooville tomorrow night.

The subs tonight are:

Daniel Spence
Nicolas Bignall
Simon Church
Hal Robson-Kanu

trying Robson-Kanu on the right after half time presumably? Or maybe Church.

If Kebe plays the whole game I might cry.

Yes Sigurdsson is more of a creative, flair type of player than a busy, more physical and more defenisively minded midfielder like Karacan.

I've only seen him two or three times but he's looked the pick of the crop from his age group and by far the most comfortable footballer in the team when he's played.

I was totally unimpressed with Illugason though. A bit of huff and puff with little end product or awareness of what was going on around him when I saw him play. To be fair I think I've only seen him the once, but he and the Romanian kid we bought in didn't look up to much to me.

I think that' sbecasue he's Bulgarian, I'm sure it would change your view entirely if you got the right former Soviet satelite !!

Actually his nationality has his nothing to do with my opinion on what how he played.

Considering the hype, and the fact he made a good scoring impact when he first signed I was quite looking forward to checking him out. I was overwhelmingly disappointed.

OH DEAR apparently Kitson hasn't travelled - make of that what you will but those at the ground have heard 'discussing personal terms' mentioned!!!
