Doesn't really make much difference, just means he's another who'll follow Coppell out of the door when things go tits up as he's only on a year long contract.
As for his coaching abilities, see Portsmouth and Tottenham away. There's a reason he wasn't even good enough to manage Brentford.

Or you could have a look at the previous two seasons instead. You really can be quite tiresome sometimes. Coaching and managing are quite different things as well.
