Team for Sheff Wed

by chandog » 13 Sep 2008 18:53

After todays performance i predict coppell to change the team around

USA
Rosenior, Ingi, Bikey, Armstrong
Kebe, Harper, Cisse, Shunt
Doyle, Nhunt

Bench; Federici, kelly, pearce, convey, mooney

i would like pearce and karacan to have a long run in the first team but coppell is too loyal to ingi and harps
Long out for Nhunt for the main reason that long has been playing sh*t
I can't see matejovsky or murty being fit by tuesday
Who knows what is happening with leroy at the moment but i can't see him being recalled

The idea of a change of personnel is a good one, but this is Reading and it took us god knows how many games last year to change a poor losing side, so we might possibly see Hunt N in, otherwise it will be the same as today, they have earnt their chance this season and the manager does not want to be seen as being disloyal to his first team stars.

you are right there
this is the wrong attitude for the manager to have but coppell ahs had this mindset for a while now
more than likely long will be the only player to be dropped in place of Nhunt - unless we get some injuries

I'd like:

Hahnemann

Rosenior
Pearce
Bikey
Armstrong

Henry
Marek
Cisse
Shunt

Doyle
Noel

Subs: Federici, Harper, Convey, Kebe, Mooney

We'll get:

Team that started against Ipswich with Noel in for Long- and no Henry on the bench. Again.

Kebe has been good at home though hasn't he? It wouldn't make sense to bring Henry in - yet anyway.

You have hit the nail on the head. Whereas some will say that wholesale changes must be made, the rest will call for prudence - and no, this is not a winger or defensive cm. Whoever is selected needs to show commitment and 100% passion and effort. I am glad I dont have to choose the XI

Kebe, Harper, Karacan, SHunt
NHunt, Doyle

Fed, Cisse(if fit), Matejovsky(if fit), Convey, Mooney/Lita

Rosenior (grumble) if Murty isn't fit, Ivar instead of Cisse if he isn't fit and Henry if Marek isn't fit.

I just want Long to be dropped. That'll do.

Any process which gets Bikey and Matejovsky back in the team will make me happy too, although you can't rush back injured players.

Coppell said on BBCRB yesterday that he would be making changes for Tuesday as he wasnt happy with several performances yesterday so i think we could see 3 or 4 changes. He also indicated that he wouldnt pick Bikey in the starting 11 as he had only trained about 6 times since the summer.

Well we know what these footballers are like at the end of the season, Bikey has no doubt been sat in his pants all summer in front of the cricket bingeing on cheetos, dairy milk and recreational drugs.
