Not happy about that. Layers are awkward.
I heard there was a possibility of a lot of games being called off on the weekend, ours might be effected early i guess.

If this game is postponed I will be thoroughly unamused. Was originally supposed to be in England over Christmas but had to change plans at the last minute, was then due to arrive on Saturday 10th at 6am, just in time for the game until Sky changed it, have now changed my flights to arrive at 12.30 on Friday. Have only managed to see 5 games in the last 6 years and this is the only one I'll get to see this time!

Don't really care how cold it is, I have fingers well and truly crossed that the undersoil heating it up to it.

Be interesting to see how many layer's HE'LL have on that night! Be far too cold for him, so I reckon at least one layer of armour, gloves, cycle shorts, and a wooly hat. Blimey, he'll be bulked up to almost look the size of a footballer. Bet he doesn't go to ground once - far too cold on that horrible hard frozen surface!

Actually, can't say as I blame him!

On nights like that, it's when the Iceland and Irish contingent really come into their own! Think we'd be better of with Hahnemann (and his Seattle experience) rather than Feds (with his Bondi Beach experience). Shame he's injured.

Brrrrrrr, makes me shiver just thinking about it. As I type it's actually snowing outside here in deepst north Essex. Going to make a cup of steaming tea .....

It's freeeezing up here in Manc with snow on the ground. What makes it worse is my heating doesn't seem to be working and have just got back from my parent's place which was steaming warm with lots of food.

It's going to be -7 here tonight. Help!

With the undersoil heating at the Mad Stad I doubt that there will be a problem with a frozen pitch. However, the forecast fog for Friday might be more of an issue.

Talking of undersoil heating, am I right in thinking that the grass doesn't particularly like it and that it can lead to a quicker deterioration in the quality of the playing surface or has technology moved on in that area?

I see London Irish were playing on the pitch again the other day and, judging by the television pictures, their activities appeared to be taking a pretty heavy toll on the playing surface.

All seems to be falling into place for another dire Reading v Watford game!

Rubbish location.

Anyway, if everybody employs the 'Shrek/Onion' technique then we'll have no chilly willies.

I hope the game is called off. Nothing to do with the cold. Friday evening is no night for football and the motorways will be a bleeding nightmare.

Worst case scenario will an announcement that there'll be a pitch inspection an hour before kick off and then it's called off. A shit journey with no football at the end of it!
