Player Recognition

by madstadblues » 04 Sep 2009 13:34

I am having problems recognising any of our players at the moment. It would be really useful if someone could create a player recognition guide similar to that used to identify German Aircraft in WW2. It could be included as a handy insert in the program.

This could be a start for those with a creative bent!:

Perhaps they could wear their names on the back and front of their shirts. No doubt it would help the players out too.

Are you trying to say that a player would be helped by the name on the shirts:

Strap (if he ever was to play): "Who's that? Should I pass to him? Oh, I see his name on the shirt now, it's Kebe!oxf*rd that, I'm not passing to him!"

I lack the necessary photoshopping skills, but I had in mind something like this on the front:

Hello my name is:

Jimmy Kebe

WAITROSE

At least till they get to know one another.

or they could all change their name by deed poll to Waitrose, thereby allowing the club to double up on the income received from the shirt sponsors due to their name appearing on the front and back.

The couple who sit near me at the Mad Stad have trouble recognising the youngsters. However, they know that Mooney looks like Trevor Senior and Henry looks like Doyle.

They should take another one, 5 new Reading players not on it, 2 ex-Reading players who are. Isnt it a bit stupid taking a picture when there was a good possibility that there would be changes with quite a bit of time of the window still to go then?
