Was it a potential away kit scraped at the last minute after 5000 produced?

No - opposite, home kit!! Owners didn’t appreciate what the backlash would of been. We were going red, doing a Cardiff, but behind the scenes word and sense prevailed then someone had bright spark idea to link them to Red Nose Day.

Crazy, perhaps Gourlay did one good thing in his time here?

Wouldn’t that have been Howe who stepped in?

He came in Christmas 2018, so the kit would already have been out by then.

Paul, that was 18 months ago mate. Those shirts remained in stock if you like and then we put to good use this season.

That’s to come....

But I do know the truth about how the comic relief shirts come about but not sure if that’s already been spoken about.

That’s not right at all, apart from the bit in bold.

There is a completely farcical story behind the scenes about the red kit which has nothing to do with Gourlay, the current owners or the home kit whatsoever

What is it? Might as well share it. This summer is as dull as dishwater so far :)

You are literally the only interesting RFC related thing right now, so come on. Home kit - white shorts? Away kit colour? We’re bored shitless. Throw us a bone.

If someone on here is knowingly witholding information about the club then they are a disgrace.

A bit hard to imagine what ours would be, if we used that template as each 'hoop' has the two toned blue. Would it be thick hoops or thin hoops.

Are Sporting using Macron again? If so, that might be a better benchmark to look at.

We do have a new shirt sponsor, replacing the very unpopular and somewhat ugly (Oxford ish) Carabao. No word yet or when they club will make the announcement, but they’re being inundated with questions by ‘bored’ fans, so I doubt it’ll be more than a few more weeks. They may want to do the reveal along with the kits.

Please don't be some rubbish ugly no name Chinese betting company. It's going to be isn't it?

I actually didn't think Carabao was that bad in the great scheme of things.

Better than a betting company. Just hope it isn’t a betting company. Aren’t something like 17 out of 24 clubs in the Championship last season sponsored by betting companies?

Yeah, I quite liked it too. Better than Waitrose, Kyocera and Westcoast.

Almost certainly

I really do dislike the constant presence of betting with football nowadays

Aren't betting companies banned from sponsoring in some sports?

He posted then deleted it. Basically was that it was going to be our away kit for the season we had the African violet but Tiger wanted it pulled due to the colours being that of a revolutionary group in Thailand that was big at the time. The stock has been sitting around since then but seeing as our deal with puma ended this year the club had to get rid of it.

No idea if it's true, just what urrzz had posted.
