Season tickets 2015/16 renewals . . .

by riverroyal » 08 Apr 2015 21:16

With the exception of the cup game, most fans cant wait for the season to end. Will you be renewing your season ticket next season?

I reckon we could dip under 10,000 next time around.

We only had 12,500 this season and it has been awful. Change of manager but still dire to watch most of the time.

I reckon we will go under 10,000 for the start of the season. I hope I am proved wrong but most people I know are disillusioned with the club at the moment.

No chance under 10,000... :o 15,000 I rekon

Any reason in particular you think we'll increase our season ticket sales by 2,500 after the worst season we've had in 15 years?

I'll probably renew, but another season like this and I might go back to cherry picking. I originally intended to do it for just one season as a treat instead of a holiday. What a dick.

It's just too bloody far to come every other week, giving up half my weekend - if not more, just to see us be shit. I'm sure my enthusiasm will return come summer though.

Depends on pricing. If they try to hit us with an increase then they will lose our three, which we have held since the move to the Mad Stad.

Unless we are in the Prem we seem to be about maximum at 12k ish.
I don't think we have seen any improvement at the ground since it was built. I would have hoped for an extension by now, only to the east, giving more space for non match day use like in the west. And the originally planned clear roof section to keep.the rain off more of the seats, would never but a st down the front for that very reason.

I don't think that'll be far off to be fair. I'll say it'll drop to around 11k. A lot of the long-timers I know all feel the same; i.e. detached from the club in the last few years, and no longer get anything out of going to games. Unless there's significant investment this summer, and I doubt there will be, I think numbers will drop quite considerably.

Havent been to an away game in a couple of years now, so few fans that it is guaranteed you can rock up and buy a ticket pre match and get in, I usually miss 3 or 4 games a season anyway so never make any cost saving with my ST.

I am struggling to find a reason to renew tbh

Didn't this season cost £375? At £25 a match that's 15 games so you can miss 7 matches and an ST is still saving you money at those prices.

If the ST is still less than £400 I'll probably still renew even though I usually miss something like 6-8 games a season (and don't usually go to away games).

And as for numbers, I think there'll still be more than 10000 that renew - but not many more. Prolly around 10500 - again based on one costing less than £400.

Going to the Madejski nowadays is a terrible fare, at least when it first opened it was mildly interesting, even when we were in Prem the atmosphere was decent, but now, jeeeez.

I may have to balance this up on how many matches I'm likely to attend next season, obviously can't renew but I wonder if it will be worth buying a ST, what was a new ST last season, £425? If so I'd have to attend 17 matches to make it worth it, I suspect I'd probably be better picking and choosing my matches.

The season ticket will still be to watch Reading FC won't it? With the only guarantee being that it will get you into 23 games in whatever division we're in (SPOLIER ALERT it's the championship)?

The only reason I wouldn't renew would be if the owners decided to double the prices, which I can't see happening, so IN I reckon

Wut?

Just saying that in my situation, making midweek games is difficult so I don't know if I can attend enough matches to justify getting a season ticket.
