Ian Royal Well they took on about £50m of debt and prevented us going into Administration. That's not bad for Year 1.

JM prevented us going in to administration, he bankrolled us up to the end of the possible play off season.
Obviously if no one bought the club we would have been up the Creek. But they bought a dead club, and so far have hardly been reactive in football terms.

No he didn't. We survived on loans, and by the time the Thai's arrived we were literally days from entering admin because we couldn't repay them.

MoorgateRoyal Plus a bit of Feng Shui around the stadium and Hogwood could improve our fortunes.

PeterReadingborn59 On paper the current owners seem a good option.
1 Developers with funds to develop space around the Mad Stad
2 Group of investors to prevent single person changing team name, colours, appoint relations etc.
3 see the investment as a business venture and not indulge themselves as if it is a computer game
4 let the Manager manage
5 not publicity seekers,
6 support team on summer tour to build oversea interest
7 bring in new sponsors
8 building club finances to avoid the risks faced last summer of not paying bills
9 allow Manager time to prove himself, avoid knee jerk reactions to results
10 new approach to run business

Norfolk Royal The decision to sell real ale via the West Berks tent restored my faith in football.

paddy20 They seem to have a fantastic knowledge of the fair play rules but not much knowledge about football. Hopefully this is not a convenient excuse for no investment. I wonder if Clarke is as worried as most of us are? The communication between the owners and the fans is awful. Perhaps thats because they would only have bad news for us!

There are members of the wider Thai group with very good football knowledge, so no worries there. And in any case we did fairly well under an owner who had zero football knowledge.
What makes you think 'most' people are worried ? And what are they worried about ?

Why are we worried? Are you serious?? Just avoided relegation, losing our best players, no sign of any new signings. Almost went into administration.Perhaps you have never experienced watching Reading in the old 3rd and 4th divisions. Believe me it aint nice! Still time still to see if the Thai's are serious about getting us back into the premiership but Clarke said he wanted to do all his transfer business early. Only sign of that is trying to sign a goalkeeper that let in 10 or so goals in his last 3 games.
