maffff Also, doesn't the guy that owns half of us (Niruttinanon) and his family have shares in Thai Union, the lot that took over at Sheffield Wednesday? Looks like Chansiris and Niruttinanons are close eh?
Yep, article from 2011 confirmed both hold shares in 2011 Thai Union's largest shareholders were the Chansiri family, with 25%, and the Niruttinanons with 8%. When Howe was interviewed he stated that Samrit was set to fail the fit and proper league test by Football League and so pulled out and his share went to Niruttinanon (not clear whether Samrit was already the owner of a 25% stake and transferred it or was due to get 25% stake and had to forgo it). WoodleyRoyal Worst case? What if our worst fears come true and somehow B.I.G is linked to us and Reading FC is implicated, what then? What happens to the supposed £50m of shares that has supposedly been put down as collateral?
How are the football league going to take this, fines, docked points, expulsion?
I can't see why the league would take any action against the club. What rules would we have broken?
It is difficult to see what it would mean to the club though. Would the collateral be "called in", and we'd become the property of those owed due to the fraud?

The Office of the Welfare Promotion Commission for Teachers and Educational Personnel had approved Bt2.5 billion in questionable loans to a firm, according to the Department of Special Investigation.
The DSI will ask the National Anti-Corruption Commission to take action against the Office's administrators and officials involved in granting the loan.
Pong-In Intarakhao, deputy director-general of the DSI, said yesterday that the Office extended two large loans without any bank serving as a guarantor and accepted flawed collateral including falsified bank guarantees.
The investigation also found that executives of the borrower, Billion Innovated Group, had colluded in the suspicious transactions, he said.
Samrit Bunditkitsada, the founder of Billion Innovated Group, is widely known among soccer fans for running the Police United FC and taking over Reading FC.
"But official records don't show Samrit as a shareholder of Reading FC," Pong-in said.
Earlier this year, Samrit complained to police that he was detained and threatened in relation to his firm's dealings with the Office.

If nothing else it will probably force the ownership issue out into the open.

Yeah, it would be good for the club to confirm that the people listed on the club website as being the owners of the club are the owners of the club, rather than us all thinking that someone other than the people listed as owners are the owners.
The Football League could also confirm that the people who went through the Fit and Proper persons test before becoming owners are the owners as listed on the club website, rather than people who didn't go through the fit and proper persons test and therefore aren't listed on the website as owners being the owners.
Definitely needs sorting. Maybe something could be put on the club website ?

I can't see the blue and white RFC Supporter mushroom, probably still in the dark cupboard hoping for a new dawn and a change from the normal RFC way. Not sure that mushrooms mix well with tuna fish, but it might be another thing I know nothing about.

Certainly does seem if Sammers is the victim of a vivid imagination or innocent businessman dealing with some ruthless "mafia" types, think I might ask the Teletubbies for their opinion, particularly Laa Laa who once had her antenna bent by a nasty rabbit.
