Good Companion is the normal designated away pub.
Would not advise the Milton Arms or the crook as they are mainly for home fans, although the crook will allow away fans in before the game except for high profile games. Would not advise going in there with colours!

I always thought the Crook was an away pub, my mistake. Look forward to seeing people in The Rifle.

Depends what you call an away pub.
Just saying the crook does let away fans in before games but you will be a minority mixing it with home fans.

Assume you are (a reading fan) from Portsmouth if you plan to use the rifle, also not an away pub.

I will be driving unfortunately... are there good and easy places to park?

I read on Football Ground Guide that many roads near the stadium are unrestricted for parking. I did look on google maps and saw loads of terrace style roads near The Good Companion, so was planning on just finding a space near there - just don't want to come back to find my lovely Y reg ford Focus smashed up.

I used to live in Portsmouth, so know it very well. I certainly won't be drinking in there!

I'm not 100% sure about the roads around there, but avoid parking in Fratton, Milton or Southsea as they are permit holders only and you will get done.

Last time I parked up in an MOT garage forecourt where they charged about a fiver, however the jobsworth taking the money forgot to take mine so I parked up for free!

it was just opposite the away end as I recall and I did get there early as there was only about 20 spaces...

There's loads of unallocated parking in Southsea, not as sure about Fratton.

Is there? I thought that was nearer the seafront? I know there is a little bit around the Shepherds Crook, but those spaces are normally occupied.

Just bought my ticket, bloke said we've sold around 1200 and we're requesting more as they're expecting demand for atleast a couple 100 more.

Initial allocation was 1,400 I think, and I'd be surprised if we don't sell all of those.

Can't remember myself, but he said they expect us to sell a couple hundred more on Saturday so they've asked for a bit more, happy with the turn out though, think we'll make some good noise.

1460 was initial allocation, normal allocation is 2000 and if requested can be 3,200. Sounds like we will take just over 3/5s of the away end.

I imagine we will take the 2000 option and have a few empty seats. Disappointing if we can't sell 2k for a short trip down the road at £5/10 a ticket.
