Armadillo Roadkill To be honest, I think we're only an afterthought as the audience for this. I think it's designed more to appeal to people in Thailand. .

This, it's obviously to appeal to the Asian market who I guess don't really get naffness or irony. Majoring on 'Royals' makes it less geocentric

I expect the term Royal to be used more and more going forward

Ok, here is a re-write of the rap:

Current version:
How we love the thrill of a good game
How we like the smell of the fame
Doesn’t matter if we learn or win
Unstoppably we burn within
Getting ready to shed our sweat
Everybody get ready and set
Let’s celebrate tonight. Or blood is blue our wings are white.

Re-write with an ode to past anthems:
Funny how the crumbs always leave a trail
The Biscuit Men will never fail
We'll give even the best a run
We have since 1871
We're Reading FC and here to stay
You know we're with you all the way
Let's celebrate tonight
Our loyalty's in blue and white

Can't really see what bad comes out of it, it's just top lol material all round. I'm also enjoying the existential crisis fans like IfOnlyWeWereRoyal are currently going through. Lovely stuff!

It's not actually that bad.

I'd much rather have harmless "embarrassing" moments like this than a 3rd party player scandal or the taxpayer paying for our stadium...

We need a promotion song anyway :D

now on the BBC gossip site

Reading have released an excruciating music video for their unique club song 'They Call Us The Royals', which features the lyrics "unstoppably we burn within" and "getting ready to shed our sweat". (Metro)

Ouroboros Kevin Girdler will be spinning in his grave.

Is he dead

I didn't know that if he is. I think we should use that song as a memory if he is

Moonfish it got some airtime on national radio today, during the first hour of Greg James' Radio 1 show.

Naturally he took the piss out of it at first, but played it a few more times throughout the show, and even he admitted there was something quite catchy about it! #eurovision2016

The only way it could get any better, is if we all learn the lyrics and belt it out for 90 minutes on Saturday.

Just the way the forum works. It gets the topic starter from the oldest post and the title from the thread which received the merge.

Then surely it makes sense to merge the newest into the oldest.

The one in the wrong forum was merged with the one in the correct forum.

If I were a pedantic tw@t  I might argue that given several members of the team feature in the video then it's not completely unreasonable to put it in The Team board.

I'm just not crazy about having words I haven't said, (almost the polar opposite of what I did say), attributed to me on a forum .

The same thing happened with me on the Team Board, m8. I started a thread about Nick Blackman, saying how good he was, and Platypuss edited it to make it look like I thought he was shit.

JFK said “It is not always easy. Your successes are unheralded -- your failures are trumpeted."

[Speech at CIA Headquarters, November 28, 1961]

The song and PA guy are a small price to put up with if it makes the owners' happy and shows the owners' commitment off the field as the benefits of having them in charge and letting SC manage is showing its self on the pitch.

 :D :D

oh Happy Days!

No, I like it and I'm one of those negative crappy people normally. Looking forward to seeing it all over the 6 and 10 o'clock news programmes later

Just a shame that TOTP ins't still going.
