RoyalBlue Bought mine within 30 minutes of ticket sales starting and paid £6.50 for Special Delivery, only to now find out that ordinary postage orders have been posted first!

You were paying for secure delivery, not Fast track? As in you are guaranteed to get your tickets (at some point). Who cares when they arrive?

I'm sure he will care if they arrive on Tuesday 30th May. Even if they come hand delivered and requiring a signature

I doubt its a problem either way, it says if they haven't arrived call no later than 2 days prior to kick off in which case they will send them first class aside.

Failing that, I'd imagine they would be able to reprint tickets for collection under extreme circumstances.

Ian Royal Picked up 2 in 115 on sale day one, was surprised we'd sold out everything decent in the lower tier behind the goals so quickly. I was just too busy to buy before 5 pm though.

Obviously I'd have had no problems getting tickets in any case given a 38,000 allocation, but very cool of the club to count people who didn't have ST this year but had already bought one for next year as an active STH.

You are actually going to purchase a ST?

If I was going to buy one, I wouldn't already count as a season ticket holder would I. I bought it as soon as they went on sale. Me buying one is hardly surprising either, I've signed up for a season ticket every year since 2013.

Can anyone explain how Huddersfield can put their tickets on general sale but our website says we can't due to EFL and Wembley regulations?

The main reason would be that it doesn't say that.
It simply says they won't be going on general sale. Looks like the club have made that decision. Presumably to ensure everyone going has some sort of RFC link.
It is the fact that certain blocks are only going on sale when the rest have been sold that is dictated by Wembley/FL. regs.

"Please note, there will be no further selling criteria and this match will not be going on general sale based on EFL and Wembley regulations. "

Not sure where you are quoting from.
The club website says
'Please note, there will be no further selling criteria and this match will not be going on general sale. '
Then separately and afterwards
'Reading Football Club have to adhere to a very strict selling criteria set by the EFL and Wembley Stadium, so only blocks 501-508 will initially be on sale in level 5. All tickets need to be sold on Level 1 and 2 before opening further blocks in level 5.'

Last paragraph of period 2 selling criteria:

That's bizarre ! I had looked at that, and rechecked and on the page I was looking at there was no reference to the regs ! It clearly does say that now !
Rather than assuming some kind of conspiracy I have to conclude that 95% incompetence on my part. However given the number of times I went back and checked could it be the page was changed and I was looking at an old version somehow ?

Bottom line though is that one of other club is wrong. Either Huddersfield are breaking the rules by going to general sale or we are wrong in saying it is an FL rule.

On page 3 of this thread there is a post by George quoting the info from the club, the info matches what I had quoted - no reference to EFL regarding general sales.
So I wasn't going mad !
Still confusing.....

BIB - Yea, for Swansea bought them on the Sunday and when they hadn't come by Thursday i was starting to get a bit anxious and thinking I might have to turn up to Wembley and hope to get it sorted then. Thankfully they came on the Friday, i'd expect anyone who's already bought tickets to get them well before next weekend, so not worried yet about getting my tickets.

Delboy How many sold to date ?

Looking at stadium plan it looks like we've sold around 35K, although that's without knowing whether there are any big sections other than 525 and 526 that have been held back.

Disappointing thing is Huddersfield officially announced at 17:30 tonight they have sold 35K, surely we are not going sell less than them? Pretty poor given our proximity although H's policy of opening up today as a general sale undoubtedly would have helped them boost their sales. Looks like RFC have sold less than 200 today, so i don't imagine our sales will grow much further.

The bottom line is that anyone that has any sort of relation to RFC will be able to get tickets.

If anyone here needs member number(s) just let me know.
