Reading v Derby date changed from Jan 1st to Jan 3rd

by Royals and Racers » 01 Nov 2021 13:03

" Our New Year’s Day game at home to Derby County has been moved and will now take place on Monday 3 January, kick-off 3pm.

A change of date was required due to Derby County’s Boxing Day match against West Bromwich Albion being selected for live broadcast and subsequently switched to Monday 27th December.

To allow for the obligatory period of time between Championship matches, the Rams’ trips to Stoke City and Reading have therefore had to be rescheduled accordingly.

Monday 3rd January is still a Bank Holiday in the UK and, to clarify, our match has not been selected for live TV broadcast.

So we very much hope the Royals vs Rams clash remains an attractive prospect for fans wanting to support their team at the start of a brand new year.

Let’s kick off 2022 with our fans behind us on a Bank Holiday! "
