To be honest I'm a bit confused. At first I thought thursday 29th was the official date. But I vaguely recall that the thread starter had guessed taht this woudl be the date.

I wonder if the "new" home shirt has been changed to allow someone to make enough of the bloody things with less than 6 months notice.

Have the club explained why the need to change kit yet, I really would like to know.

Given that the home shirt won't even be available to order until mid July it was obviously a very late decision to change the home shirt anyway - therefore they've had difficulty in getting factory space to produce the thing.

So can anyone (STAR perhaps) get the club to state the reason for the new home shirt?

paul_3gs just found out from the club that it is still going to be a while before we can get hold of the new home shirt!
they said that it will be available to pre-order in the middle of july, but wont be in the megastore until 12th august! ironically the day of the feyenoord game!!!! money spinner
typical reading football club always cutting the release of a new home shirt a bit fine, well at least its before the season starts not after like last years if i recall

That's making a rather rash assumption that the shirts really will arrive in the Megastore by 12 August!

And what's happened to that really special offer that Boyd and his merry men dreamt up to reward longstanding season ticket holders?

I wasn't really intending to have a dig at you, more the club's assertion that it will be out in time for the Feyenoord game! Have they ever managed to produce a shirt (or for that matter much else) on time?

I'd just like to see what the shirt looks like.

Surely they could just put a picture up on the website or something.

It's true then - only longstanding season ticket holders get the instructions!

Looks like another RFC stitch up!

The club sent out some trial versions of the new strip.

It took a while, but in the end I feel it was worthwhile. Only problem was that they sent out the wrong colour thread, it should infact be blue.

I should add that the club have informed me that the Puma transfers are to be sent out at a later date.
