Any thoughts

by papereyes » 04 Jul 2006 11:32

I thought I'd paid for my season ticket with a single cheque but I was just checking my royalty points and found:

03/07/2006 ADMIN FEE xx/xxx/x/xxxx Reserved

03/07/2006 Monthly Season Ticket Payment-01 xx/xxx/x/xxxx Reserved

13/06/2006 Season 2006/2007 xx/xxx/x/xxxx 195 Confirmed

This strikes me as odd - any thoughts as to exactly what RFC have done here?

I have exactly the same, and paid by credit card online.

Curious isn't it? I assume that it is just part of their process and has no real impact but I'd like to know for sure.

Presumably written by the person who checks the spelling and grammar on the OS!

effect = noun
affect = verb

Of course effect can also be a verb.

Just not in this case.

They can try. There's a reason why I pay things by cheque.

Nope, it's rule one of how to run a business-critical computer system, and also specifically forbidden under corporate governance rules like Sarbanes-Oxley & Turnbull - but it seems fairly standard procedure for RFC.
