Scutterbucketz
Simmops I have BTTS and Denmark to win

I am pissed off I am not allowed to watch it though, need to go to a 1 year olds oxf*rd birthday at a house. I even asked If I was allowed to watch it in a different room but got told off and shouted at and called disrespectful

absolute oxf*rd bullshit, 1 year olds don't even understand whats going on and football is on

What sort of people won’t have the football on? Is the man of the house not into it.

Poor form to throw a party on a day of a big game and not cater for anyone who wants to watch it.

And one year olds birthday parties are bullshit. I’d just not go if it was going to be like that.

Not into it. It was a disgrace. Wasn't even doing anything from 5 till 7 either. Sitting there looking at a baby boy rip open bits of paper and we needed to pretend to care whilst eating cold scotch eggs and crisps.

Wrong. England on penalties in poetic justice.

This should be the team this evening but it won't be:

Pickford

Walker
Maguire
Stones

James
Henderson
Phillips
Saka

Sterling
Kane
Foden

Apparently, Gundogan, Gosens and Rudiger are doubts for tonight. Any one of them would be a miss, especially Gosens.

I'm not nervous about tonight at all. Weird.

Saka rumoured to be starting. That is a lot of pressure to deal with for the kid but from what I have seen of him he doesn't look phased by anything.

Mount, Foden and Grealish on the bench. Huge call from Southgate.

Good call I think. Pace in behind and running at them is how to hurt this Germany side. Would it be 3-4-3, with Saka, Sterling and Kane uo front? Again, could see this neutralising their wing backs well.

Only concern is CM, where I think their options are simply better than Rice, Phillips and Henderson. But maybe we allow possession and play on the break. And we have options on the bench to bring in an extra man in midfield.

Agreed that pace is what is going to hurt the Germans; their fullbacks push up but they leave space behind, and with Hummels not the quickest they will find it difficult to neutralise any England attacks that put the ball into those spaces for Sterling and Saka to exploit......

If we lose in convincing fashion later does Southgate go?

No way

Give him till 2022, when Saka, Bellendham etc are older

Don’t like Mings but it was harsh from Southgate to drop him for Czech and it’ll be harsh if he isn’t reinstated tonight

Also like a left footed player in a back three too

Is Kane undroppable? He's offered very little so far.

Was hoping for epic, torrential rain tonight. 90 minutes of tense (arguably boring) stalemate followed by a last minute, scuffed winner from some absolute carthorse (Maguire or Mings).

When you consider the other strker options we have Kane is undroppable. We don't have anyone near as clinical as him, only reason he hasn't scored yet is because he hasn't had the chance to. Some of that is on him and some of that is on the creativity around him. I also don't think the role he plays at Spurs has helped England, he is continually coming deep to pick up the ball.

I think we can nullify them in midfield i.e. do a job on them

Our attack is possibly better (individual 'names')

Would think Spurs would be falling over themselves to snap him up.

No not at all. Think he would suit them, they also need a manager.
