From Despair To Where? Iceland just make themselves very difficult to beat. Add to that pace, excellent team spirit and a couple of very good players and you have a team that you need to bring your A game to get the better of.

It's quite simple really.
not even noticed by the broadcasting media......but late in the game, just watching their LB sprint back from a lost cause near the Austrian 18 yard box and still beat yhe cleared and flighted ball back into his own half showed amazing determination.......and fitness

It definitely helps that there's close to 800 holders of UEFA coaching licences in Iceland. As a comparison, according to Wikipedia, there's about 1400 in England.
