At this point I really want the final game to be either Germany v. Netherlands or Brazil v. Argentina. Either of those games will rescue a once promising WC that is petering out a bit.

It's a shame that all the QFs were a bit dull but I guess relatively evenly matched teams and the fear of failure.

Kind of see what you're thinking here. Most of the earlier games were great to watch, the later games have been less so. Not sure I'd go so far as saying that the WC needs rescuing though.

I'd like to see the Dutch finally get there hands on the trophy, though I'm not really that bothered who wins. I would love it if the last few games have plenty of exciting attacking football with results decided by something special rather than penalty shootouts.

I thought some of the QFs, whilst not great football and thrilling, were as enthralling and exciting as you get for games that are 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes.

Well neither of the match-ups I wanted to see came to pass. The semis were a mixed bag. Don't know if the Germany-Brazil game was "exciting" other than watching a historic beat down of the host team. Netherlands-Argentina was like watching paint dry.

I think the final will be either 1-0 or 0-0 and decided on penalties. Not sure it is going to be an exciting game other than the winner of the game being WC champion. Hope Germany wins it at this point...
