Excellent work by LGBT Activists in Russia, where gay symbols are banned in public.

So they went on tour...

God the hard on the commentators have for Mbappe you’d think he was Ryan Sessegnon.

My liver’s not. I’ve paced myself as it’s an early start tomorrow.

Bet Belgium are thrilled they beat us now.
Can`t see us or Croatia being good enough to stop the French.

Jeez Belgium were shite.....utterly clueless. Was that really a "golden generation" De Bryne looked like a championship player....and what was with Felani playing out wide?

How is it coming home if we lose?

It doesn’t... soo I think you’re mistaken.

They are. Best squad in the tournament which just makes it so much sweeter the fact we’ve already beat them. Plus their limbs they’ve just shown in Paris look vvank.

Belgium put no decent crosses in. France won't cope with the "love train".

My first response to this was “Just fukk off!” but I deleted it to ask you respectfully why you think we can’t beat them?

There was nothing special about France, Nothing. You’ve got Mbappe making passes to almost no one in the same way that that Czech fella, Matejovsky, used to make passes for us and no one was on the end of them, yet people still wet themselves. He’s an excellent player but the rest of them aren’t exactly firing on all cylinders.

France

Boring, completely unspecial and unremarkable.

I really do think England are favourites to win this thing

France haven't got out of 3rd gear in the quarters and semis.

Will make it that much sweeter when we do them in the final 8)

I’ve seen nothing of them to suggest they have another level they can hit.

When individual skill is cant carry you through; it’s morale, calm, graft, belief and togetherness that will push you through.

Leicester showed us that. The 106 season showed us that. To me, this England team clearly have that same strange make up where the sum is far greater than it’s parts.

This feels different. So very, very fukking different to any England team I’ve seen before.

I think the biggest single factor determining the inevitability of our world cup glory is that Gary Lineker publicly stated he'd wear a mankini if we won the trophy.

We all know what happened last time....

I think Belgium were the best side at the tournament, but they just didn't turn up tonight. Dembele was poor and Lukaku and De Bruyner couldn't cope with France's organisation at the back. Once Mertens came on and they actually started whipping first time balls into the box they looked so much more threatening (although France dealt with it pretty comfortably).

I certainly wouldn't have liked seeing Lukaku, De Bruyner and Hazard waltzing through Henderson, Maguire, Stones and Walker at will.

As it is we've now just got to worry about* Harry Maguire going up against Mbappe's pace and audacity, and an otherwise rather workmanlike and average French side. Although Sterling might as well just sew himself into Kante's pocket right now. I'd fancy us at set pieces still against the French and they'll probably be more open against us than the Belgian's (surely they've got to be favourites and take the game to us) so we might get some chances in open play on the break too.

*Croatia obviously, but IF we get by them.
