I guess we've found another use for this part of the forum...

Starts Saturday - anyone actually interested?

I would need to see some pics first before making that decision.

i remember this time when I spent a Saturday evening shaking vomit out of my system after an overestimated evening in Hackney. It went on for a while, and didnt please anybody.

That was better than the Rugby world cup.

England look pretty good tonight and clearly look like they really could come close to winning the WC. Too strong for us. We will rue the chances missed in the first half. Sadly its a story that we are pretty too familiar with in Wales....always close, but just a bit short.

All the 2019 women's WC games are live on BBC.

Just flicked over to Germany v China during the interval of England v Bangladesh.
The ladies' game has really moved on since the last World Cup.

I think England’s number 3 is a great player.

I have watched a fair bit of Women’s Football but I am gobsmacked by how good the England Scotland game is. Some of the football.... It’s like watching a Pep team.

Fair play Phil Neville!

(Unlike the likes of Lineaker, Wright, Hoddle etc etc) Why are the wimmin pundits having to stand up at the half time chit-chat?

Look more like some kind’ve hip-swaying girly pop group, how are we meant to take Womens football seriously?

Come on the Beeb, give them some chairs

Was at a charity match at the weekend that included about half of the Fulham ladies team, mixed in with some (male) academy players and amateurs, was amazed at how well they held their own. Couple of worldies scored too.

Once you get used to the slower pace, they are really good games.

Obviously social media is full of misogynistic narrow-minded nonsense.

Quite enjoyed the England ladies game.

The Scottish RWer had zero brain or end product so disappointed to see her rewarded with a deflected scuffer go in after she spent the entire game crossing to no one, boxing herself into the corner flag or shooting incredibly tamely straight at our keeper.

Thought Jill Scott looked really classy running midfield and ex-Ding Kirby looked totally lost and ineffectual.

Who'd have thought increasing the money and profile for the ladies game would drastically improve the quality.

13-0? C'mon ladies, we know you're good. What does that prove? 13-0?

Ease off the gas when you get to 8 and put on a passing display. They were still scoring well into 2nd half injury time...

may have a look at the xG to actual goals a bit later if I cba

my hypothesis is that the goalposts are too big for the female game...we've discussed before based on height, jump etc and it's clear that females can't physically cover the same are of the goal as men

from (anecdotal) viewing the goalies are actually pretty decent on the ground but they are fcuking terrible once the ball is in the air
