The players wanted to play apparently.

They did but, according to the Danish Manager they had a choice of finishing last night or lunchtime today, so there was clearly an expectation that the game had to finish.

Shameful from UEFA really. No wonder they struggled in the 2nd half. Should have allowed a couple of days delay.

The Danish manager said his players had the option not to play and Timu Pukki has said the Finns would have done whatever the Danes wanted so it hardly seems UEFA twisted their arms to go back out. I'm not sure it was the right thing to do but seems the players were the ones making the choices. A couple of days delay would have meant Finland playing MOnday and Wednesday which is hardly ideal....

I'm not sure they made the best choice, but it does seem to have been their choice and I can see why they'd want to go back out and keep busy and do it straightaway.

I can also see them not wanting to just take a draw as a result.

Well they can take the oxf*rd knee for Erikson then... All men from the former soviet block are stinky racists .I remember working in Prague in the late 90's and only queers used deodorant

You're trying to reason with a stinky racist, not sure your point will be taken on board.

What has Oxford got to do with Erikson?

England started strongly had the best chance but faded badly in the last quarter. About evens at the break.

Surprisingly ‘entertained’ so far

A bit of the Readings about us....all the chances and graft...but no goals.

Mings is still a oxf*rd....he’s doing ok tho’

Think those that are there were too busy booing Croatia (and their National Anthem) tbf.

Game will peter out into a dull snoozefest as it’s too hot to play football and no-one wants to make the mistake that loses the opening group game.

Some decent individual performances there.

I am almost feeling a re-connect with our national team.

Well impressed with Bellinghams cameo..spirit, tenacity....not quite the flair

...or did we make them look thatway?

Some great challenges put-in, hassled, panicked.....ineffective.
