Ascotexgunner Things are getting desperate....Werner's on.
I can't remember a major tournament where Germany have been so weak up front. They have always had a striker/frontman that brings fear to defenders.......Klose, Muller, Bonhoff, Klinsmann, Kuntz (careful), Allofs, Bierhoff to name a few. Even bloody Podolski was up there.

I really hope Wales get smashed tomorrow

I know find myself massively wanting them to hang on

Good man

Fully deserved for Wales. Several pundits called out Turkey as dark horses, but they have been woeful.

Turkey by name Turkeys by nature, absolutely awful. No idea how they managed to take four points our of the French recently.

Well deserved win for Wales.

I can see Wales having a decent run. It doesn't look like they'll face a heavyweight in the last 16. They have a hard working, organised team, excellent team spirit and game changers in Bale and Ramsey. The likes of France and Belgium would probably have too much for them, but they shouldn't fear the 2nd tier sides.

Wales very fortunate to be playing an awful Turkey team, let's see how they do when they play someone decent. My guess is badly.

Agreed. Not so sure that their "game changers" would change the game against the top level teams anymore but against sides like Turkey they make the difference.

What does that have to do with now? Turkey have been awful in the two tournament games. To lose 2-0 to an average Welsh side confirms just how limited Turkey are.

Would have been very difficult to lose to that Turkey side. Wales did a job on them but let's see what happens against a very good Italy side, Wales will be found out.

Result doesn't matter as we are through. Could be resting players.

It's always easy to say a team is poor after the match, but before the game the consensus was that this was a tricky tie for Wales, and they were very accomplished in their performance.

It's the same with Croatia. Before the game everyone acknowledged that they were England's toughest opposition with world class talent in central midfield, but now they have been beaten everyone is lining up to say they're not as good as in 2018 and actually England are still not particularly good.

And there is the Welsh mentality. Happy to just be there and take part. Why not try and win the group?

Not really, just thinking ahead. The squad doesn't have the depth of the likes of England so protecting your best players is crucial at this stage.

I think they should go and try and win the group and in fairness that’s what they may well try and do.

If Italy win tonight they will 100% rest players in the Wales game. You'll have a decent shot of a result if you go full strength.
