See UEFA are threatening to take the latter stages away from Wembley and move to Budapest unless the UKG exempt around 2500 delegates from quarantine rules.

They said no for the CL Final and it got shifted but numbers a lot lower in Europe now than the UK, so imagine they will make the exemption rather that risk losing the finals. That will naturally cause a lot of backlash from sections of the media/public given the travel rules currently.

I suspect that number isn't that much more than the entourages of the G7/D10 held in Cornwall last week; didn't see President Macron or Chancellor Merkel having to spend 10 days at the Heathrow Travelodge..............

Agreed but it is more the fact that they have said no once to UEFA over this, rightly in my mind, means they have painted themselves into a bit of a corner. Would imagine it would soon follow that if the final is say Italy - France that exemptions are made to allow fans of those nations to attend (in controlled numbers).

The whole travel traffic light system would fold like a house of cards.

To be fair the traffic light system has always been designed with stopping you lot leaving not people coming in, but agreed. Be interesting which European countries go green on the 28th and how closely that ties into who is in the quarter finals.

KDB's 45 minutes yesterday showed why he's better than the likes of Messi at the moment. His assist for the equaliser showed composure and decision making, while his winner was just great technique with his left foot. We have some great young talent but, for now, the top teams have world class talents beyond ours (not intended to be a criticism for a very good and exciting England team).

Was surprised De Bruyne wasn't wearing any kind of mask to protect his eye socket.

Looks like they're intending to fold it anyway with the vaccination passports meaning you won't need to quarantine coming back from an amber country (so in effect making it red/green)

I’m happy to brush over our 3-1 defeat to Belgium and 3-0 loss to France if it supports your joke.

Dutch media desperately trying to work out who the Dutch will meet in the next round since they are already confirmed as top of the group. One of the 3rd placed teams in D, E or F and hoping it won't be one of the F group (it will).

We're all hoping for it to be Germany, aren't we?

Not exactly hoping but seems most likely.

Sweden made that look very difficult. Really thought they weren’t going to get the goal. That they did means I just need Croatia and England to win for a lovely £700 win off a tenner.
