What will the reaction be in Germany? Was this kind of struggle anticipated? Any risk of riots?

On the BBC world football show that they do, the public and press are fully behind "Yogi".....

They tend to blame players rather than manager. Complete opposite of here where it's always the managers fault.
Which makes sense because I remember Ozil being chastised by the German press after the last WC debacle.

Simmops Portugal need to score 1 for us to play Hungary?

Would it not be France in second? Superior goal difference to Hungary?

Just not meant to be. Always feels like an inevitability at international level.

For Hungary to have only been losing 7 of the 270 minutes they’ve played in the group stages against three of Europe’s heavyweights is outstanding

Deserve a ton of credit

Also happy to see Hungary gone but the difficult path of France and then Spain that I had hoped for for England has quickly evaporated. Belgium, Portugal, France, Italy and Spain all on the other side of the draw, I am beginning to fancy England's chances.

Germany are the strongest opposition on our side of the draw. Get past them and we could go a long way.

Sorry went back to the game. In short, no-one expected anything this year as feel the team us stale under Löw and happy for him to leave on his terms. He is still massively in credit for 2014.

A knock out game v England has whet the appetite here, the commentary team are delighted. As am I, it's a no lose knock out for me.

Would imagine if Germany do win they'll head straight to Rome to avoid quarantine here.
