Just noticed that Croatia have odd socks. Trying to see if any player has got them the wrong way round.

Mr Angry
6ft Kerplunk Someone needs to check the Canadian keeper's online betting account. What were the odds for Morocco getting out of the group.

Better than they were for Morocco actually winning the Group, which is the current situation.

Maybe LOLukaku's account needs checking!

Winston Biscuit Clubs to have supplied England goals in World Cups:

17 Spurs
14 Man Utd
13 Liverpool
7 West Ham
6 Everton, Man City
5 Newcastle
4 Wolves
3 Bolton, Arsenal
2 Leeds, Chelsea, Villa, Preston, West Brom
1 Blackpool, Derby, Leicester, Middlebrough, Ipswich, Fulham, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund

People tend to think of Spurs as being a cup team.

Bye bye Belgium.

And you have pulled up very few trees either Croatia!

Magnificent Morocco; very well deserved to win that Group.

And they’re probably going to get Germany in the next round while Croatia will have to tame the Spaniards.

Might Germany jam their way through to another final?

Croatia are ageing a bit too much now just like Belgium - their chance was 2018

IF Germany do get through and finish 2nd in their Group, they will play Morocco; would you put your house on a German win the way the 2 respective teams are playing?

If they do get through to the Quarters, they could face any one of the teams in Groups G & H other than Portugal and Brazil, who are going to top their respective Groups.

Assuming all goes to form, Germany would then have a potential Semi Final against the winners of a Quarter Final likely to be between England and France.

I think that quite a few of the European teams have been disappointing; Germany, Denmark, Serbia, Switzerland, Poland (even though they are through, same as Croatia). I also haven't been overly impressed by either the Dutch or the Portuguese even though they are through.

In fact the only European teams who have looked good have been England, France and Spain - and even then there have been times (and games) when they have disappointed (France v. Tunisia, England v the USA).

I think the gap between the European/South American nations and those of Africa, Oceania, Asia and America/Caribbean of professionalism, fitness, coaching, experience and tactical acumen is closing rapidly; only Qatar, Costa Rica (against Spain) and Iran (against England) looked outclassed, and even then Costa Rica and Iran both recorded deserved victories before being knocked out.

The last great barrier is of course wealth, and that is a harder to overcome (though not impossible).
