MiniRoyal Seal Or how about you start by not believing all b0ll0cks they put in the papers.
Seriously, if The News of the World told you that they were planning to relocate Man City to Abu Dhabi you'd probably believe it and be up in arms about it 'ruining the game I love....blah blah blah"
I think most people would agree that the money in football is obscene and clubs shouldn't be the playthings of rich people. Regardless of Man City's new owners, football is already pretty fooked up. It's got nothing to do with speculation in the papers.
Can you remind me when clubs weren't the playthings of rich people?
In years gone by it was the local rich businessmen. Now we live a globalised post modern world, it's still a rich person who owns the club, they just may not be from the local area. You need an extra couple of 0's on the cheque nowadays, which is out of the realms of affordibility for your local second-hand-car-magazine-publisher-made-good. Hence the influx of new world money.
In addition football has always had problems. In the 50's it was players didn't get paid enough, in the 70's & 80's it was hooligans, and now it's too much money. People just love having something to moan about and it is so very boring.
