Zammo
John Madejski's Wallet
Alan Partridge ....... the best side there has ever been.

Bollocks is it !!

By far the best team of the last few years in no way makes them the best ever

Yet you fail to name a better one.

Here's three:
Real Madrid 1955-60
Brazil 1970
Ajax 71-73

Rooney and Vidic the only two United players who can be pleased with their performance.

Giggs, Valencia, Park and Evra get special mentions for being more poo than the rest.

The amazing thing with Barca, is what they do is so simple, yet it is almost impossible to play against. And they are so sharp, every single mistake is capitalised on immediately.

All about opinions. Spanish League champions again, Champions league winners and they've taken the piss out of everyone.

John Madejski's Wallet Real Madrid with Di Stefano, Ajax team with Cruff, Benfica with Eusabio .......

Just beacause this team is f*cking amazing and no-one can touch them right now, does not make them the best ever.
.....It also kinda happens that just as Barca have got great, all their competition has turned sh*t

'cos the opponents of Di Stefano's Real Madrid, Cryuff's Ajax and Eusabio's Benfica were among the world's greatest sides also ?!?! I don't think so.

You can only beat who is in your era. Can you name a side today other than Barca who rank as one of the world's greatest teams ever?

Not forgetting that they were beaten at home early in the season by the might of Hercules.

That list of trophies Pep Guardiola has won, as listed by ITV's commentator, is seriously some achievement. They've come a long way since their first game under him - an uninspiring 1-0 defeat to Numancia.

Disagree with that one.
Vidic just let Pedro wander away from him to make the space for the first goal.

Delighted to see the cockney reds lose tonight. Can't be arsed with all this must support the English teams, etc.
That's for all the dickheads that used to walk around Reading wearing Manure shirts in the 90s having never been to OT, whilst 4000 of us used to go to Elm Park.

Manure shown for what they are tonight. Big fish in a little pond.
Barca were quality. Just brilliant to watch.

Oh well, on to Monday. G'ARN UURRZZ!!

Barcelona are a MUCH better team than United as proved tonight. The gap between them is as big as the gap between man united and Reading. They were utterly molested united for 80 minutes of that game. Never seen such a one sided final as predicted. If united had some sense they would go away and buy some players. A 36 year old winger and a mediocre partner ( carrick) in centre midield was never going to work against a 3 man top draw midfield, park was utterly awful on the wing as well. The only player close to world class in that united lineup was rooney. Great goal, deserves to play for a better team. Tbh can see why he wanted to leave now, the gap is gigantic.

What I find strange is the fact Barcelona fans made twice the noise united did throughout the game. When united got the ball the whistling and jeering was deafening. When Barcelona got the ball there was whistling, but nowhere near the same level.

United were like the championship team being modest in defeat against the premiership side in the FA cup - utterly bewildering.

Also have to add, letting abidal lift the trophy was nothing short of class. People in the pub saluted that - rightly so.

sandman Real Madrid 1955-60
Brazil 1970
Ajax 71-73

I'll repeat what I said the last time this came up - that Ajax team wasn't even conclusively the best team in Holland at that point in time, they were swapping Eredivisie titles with Feijenoord.

The BBC's Tim Vickery makes a compelling case for Santos FC from 1961 to 1964.....

The space created by Evra stuipdly closing down Messi? When Ferdinand and Vidic were already moving in on him? Vidic could have left Messi, but the space was created by Evra's being stupidly sucked in aswell.
