Harry Maguire's interview post game

Harry, your comment that decisions are not going for you ! How many dodgy penalties have you had ? Oh, and by the way, if John Moss had bothered to check the offside, it wouldn't have counted anyway

I appreciate you're disappointed, but give your brain a break

Was really odd as to why they didn’t just check the offside first. Clearly offside.

I guess we can’t expect refs to make logical decisions though.

I can tell you categorically and first hand that John Moss has form for (ahem) 'not playing to the rules'

It was just really bizarre, could clearly see it was offside from the first replay.

It’s like a review in cricket when there was a clear no ball, see it on the first replay and it’s done.

It makes you think that, had he thought it was a penalty, he wouldn't have checked the offside at all

As you say, quite bizarre

More shite from Utd yesterday, our record is nearly as bad as LFC...think we have 6 points from the last 15

More gash from Martial and Rashford again

Cliques of players doing their own thing

Interesting to hear OGS saying they won't settle for second

A couple more results like that and he won't have to worry about second

Needs to rip up the CB partnership...total dogshit!

Either player would be 'alright' with someone like a VVD or a Rio

Man Utd still lack a world class centre forward IMO

Rashford is their highest scoring centre forward in the league with 8 goals, then comes Martial on 4.

last year the forwards scored over 60 goals between them

How many chances were created for Cavani yesterday?

When McFred are playing there is zero creativity

Good to have EB on the bench yesterday then!

Shaw seems to be a real shining light for Utd this season so far, another assist yesterday. Starting to get back to the player he showed he was when he was at Saints.

Said it for a couple of years now, Martial and Rashford are a big problem for United and they won’t win the title with those two as regulars as they range from an 8/10 to a 4/10 too often

Seem to struggle against teams that play a low block, 1 goal against WBA both times, lost to Sheffield United, lost to Palace, squeezed past Burnley etc. Where’s Mata these days, not as good as he used to be but surely a better option off the bench then having 6 defensive players, Dan James and arguably VDB

You’re also right that Lindelof and Maguire ain’t good enough for a title winning side although I’m sure people may have been saying that about Stones this time 12 months ago

Sounds like Upamecano is off to Bayern for his €42.5M release clause. Man Utd should have been throwing everything they can at getting him to join them (maybe they were)

Definitely back to his old self going forward but like most full-backs in English football is a terrible defender.

No, he's never there to get skinned-the space he gives is outrageous.

Agree with BR0 on that, Shaw's defending has improved a lot as well.

Also AWB is a much better defender than he is going forward.

AWB is one of the few tackling full-backs in the division but looks lost as soon as he gets past the half-way line.
Will agree to differ on Shaw.

I guess that is part of his game he would want to improve.

He isn't at the level of someone like TAA or Chirwell or Robertson for providing assists and going forward, but 2 goals and 2 assists this year so far, compared to 4 assists last year would suggest that he isn't totally hopeless when he gets forward and there is signs of improvement.

Also, with the way Utd play, I wonder how many times he has passed it to someone else who has then assisted a goal, for instance passing it to Bruno, who then gets the assist for the goal. Doesn't go down as an assist, but is certainly a key pass.

Could AWB be converted to a central defender?
