Play like that every week and you never know, that Europa League place is still a possibility.
Keep the faith.

Proper defender.

VAR spot on to give Utd the pen in the first half as well.

As everyone is well aware I'm not a fan of VAR, but got both decisions right in this case.
Only real surprise is that the penalty wasn't given in the first place.

Yeah that was a shocker really, and that is what VAR is/should be used for.

Seems as though the speculation about Ole going has inspired the players to play for him. Couple of quality additions in January in central midfield and they'll be battling it out with Chelsea for 4th spot which is about all they can hope for now.

I think with the way they started the season, they would be delighted with 4th.

I think that’ll be an interesting race for 4th between Utd, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal (if they can get their act together, which doesn’t look likely at the moment). I guess the only other thing to consider is that Leicester could drop their form, although that also doesn’t look too likely at the moment.

Lovely to see Steve Bruce making the Toon Army, and a number of his doubters, eat their words by having Newcastle in a pretty decent position.

I'm not sure how it compares to Rafa's league positions at this stage in proceedings but it can't be far off if not better than most of his campaigns, and that's despite them losing some of their better players from recent seasons.

I always find it ironic Newcastle fans complaining about Ashley

Their front three cost about £80 million
