Hendo Some goal that by Cavani.

Utd would be mad not to sign him up for next season as well (unless they already have and I missed it).

gr8 goal...he has signed for another year (last week)

Thats good then, thought at the time he would be another Falcao, but he is so much better.

Must be excellent for Rashford and Greenwood to work with him every day.

Shame he didn't come to the Prem sooner.

Looks like Sancho is a done deal. The most boring transfer saga of all time comes to an end.

A decent centreback and holding midfielder required. I wouldn't even be slightly shocked to see United in for Kalvin Phillips, reckon he'd do well there.

AWB had a better season last year but I still don’t see him as a title winning fullback playing every week, I think they should at least add some competition there as I’m not sure Williams is good enough to compete with him

Phillips would be much better staying off at Leeds IMO in a system tailored to his strengths

He would be better off staying there but I think he will attract a lot of interest, hard to turn down the big money.

I have been hard on Phillips over the past couple of seasons but he has well and truly shut me up. He is a top player, only going to get better too.

He’s got a great passing range as the holding midfielder, but then Leeds play such an expansive game which really helps him and quite a few teams try to go toe to toe with Leeds so there’s more space in behind

Contrary to United, where most team just sit back and effectively park the bus which really does negate Phillips strengths

You only have to look at Drinkwater who turned from a very good midfielder to a bit of a nothing one when he joined a big team

Man Utd apparently close to finalising a deal for Varane, and are looking into Ndidi. Could they be serious challengers next season?

United have confirmed a deal in principle for Sancho, subject to "contractual terms" which seems like a fairly big deal still.

They still need a world class stiker.

They have Cavani, Greenwood and Rashford. Wouldn’t call any world class, but the likes of Kane, Lewandowski etc. don't grow on trees. And having Aguero injured last season didn't prove too big a problem for City.

+1 I think with the options they have, a world class striker isn't a super high priority for Utd, plenty of options to chip in with goals.

They managed to be 2nd top scorers last season without a world class striker.

Problem is they'll still be managed by Solskjaer.

We've got Cavani and Greenwood as his understudy

When was the last time Greenwood played as a striker?
Cavani is 35 isn't he? Hardly someone you can rely on over what could be a 60 game season.
