I've only just seen it. What a bloody disgrace. Leeds fans almost seem to be congratulating him as he goes back in to the stand.

I agree with Jones the Leeds players were wrong to aplaud a bunch of fans who had abused Dave Jones all night. Ran on the pitch and attacked the keeper.

Warnock, the Leeds players and the Leeds fans are scum at the moment. I hope Leeds get severely punished for failing to control their fans. Banning them from away games as Jonessaid would be great.

Not defending Leeds lot AT ALL but Wednesday fans threw a flare on pitch and sang songs about two dead Leeds fans. Neither set of fans come out of it with any glory. Singing pro Jimmy Savile songs ffs and then having a go at Dave Jones for charges that were thrown out of court.

"I thought it was an absolute disgrace. They should get the guy, prosecute him, put him in prison," he said.
"I'm not proud to be Leeds manager when I see that.
"I don't mind the atmosphere, there's been elbows flying, but to see things like that on the field of play, I'm embarrassed."

Loose at the back. Not tight enough for the throw in but sorted them out at half time and got closer to their wingers 2nd half.

Can't see anyone congratulating him to be honest. Remember they've just scored a goal and the lads he's walking past are celebrating that.

Apparently Warnock went over to aplaud the Leeds fans at the end of the game, even after what they did.

They all did..mind you he did say it was one idiot out of the 5k they had there..

It does seem some people around on the net do agree with Warnock's view that Kirkland went down easily ("the typical footballer reaction")

Personally he was probably shocked and stunned.

It shouldn't matter "how" Kirkland went down, fact is, he shouldn't have been hit. And in any case, if you're standing there minding your own business and out of the blue someone hits you, you're going to go down easier than if you were prepared for it surely?

It's a bloody disgrace and the number of cretins who were on that bloke's FB saying they were going to buy him a pint etc, was disgusting. :x

Totally agree with RL.

Apparently the police are currently compiling evidence from CCTV etc, not just for that one fan but for all the misbehaving ones, and trying to locate the scummer who struck Kirkland.

FFS - you couldn't make it up - he was all over FB - if the police don't know who it was by now, they need sacking!

The keeper fell to ground and required treatment while the supporter made his way back into the stands, laughing as he did so. Though he has since been identified by police, he is yet to be arrested.
