CR9:(

by E. Andrew » 03 Sep 2012 03:02

From the Daily Mail (Complete)

Cristiano Ronaldo refused to celebrate after scoring his 150th goal for Real Madrid in a 3-0 win over Granada on Sunday night.

Ronaldo, who netted twice, later went down with a suspected thigh injury after a cynical challenge by Borja Gomez and was reported to have cried for 20 minutes in the dressing room amid rumours he is depressed. He said later: ‘I’m sad - when I don’t celebrate goals it’s because I’m not happy. It’s a professional thing. Real Madrid know why I’m not happy.’

Jose Mourinho took off his star man after the injury scare, perhaps with an eye on the Champions League clash against Manchester City later this month.

Somebody should tell him to pull himself together.

Not trying to 2nd guess the story as it is probably the usual rubbish paper talk but it makes you think what incredible high's these sportsmen experience, and Ronaldo probably more than most, and so sitting at home on your own must feel a long way down.

Seems like a wonderful life that we all envy but in reality is probably very strange & bizarre and not always easy to cope with (especially if you are not all that intelligent which footballers are often not)

I just can't find it in me to sympathise. Gawd knows how they'd handle major social upheavals like the Blitz or something.

I deffo sympathise. We are all human with the same faults and emotions no matter what our social standing.

A tough day is a tough day.

Some people have more 'tough days' than others. Usually brats.

Having just read up on this on a Spanish football website it seems that he has not been friends with the board for a while as he believes they should be running a support campaign for him to win the Ballon D'or but they don't. He has also fallen out with Marcelo as he said publicly that Casillas should win it. On top of that Ronaldo had a further meeting with Florentino Perez on Saturday as he is unhappy that he wants a contract extension & improvement, the board say they don't want to discuss now as he has 3 years left and is already one of the highest paid in the world.

I got two words for ya, Lionel Messi. Ronaldo doesn't like playing second fiddle so now he'll skulk off to the PL where the comparison is less constant.

Ronaldo will come back have a brilliant season and then Messi will move to Man City the season later after finally leaving Barca. Comparisons start again!

It is specilated that the reason for him wanting contract talks now is because the Spanish tax rate is about to go up from 23% to 52% and he wants Real to cover his 'loss'

These players tend to get paid net so I would guess that the club will suffer and not him.
I know somebody who knows his family in Madeira and he is not the brightest of people-not that intelligence necessarily has anything to do with this but just saying and crowing that I know somebody who knows him.

He'd probably be happier if he just came out.

So, to sum up - no-one loves me and I want more money.

I reckon anyone on the planet, apart from other already overpaid, overpreening, self-inflated egotistical footballers, would gladly swop their shit lives for his shit life.

Perhaps if just once in a while he actually looked like he enjoyed playing football rather than just being deparate for the attention then I might have the smallest smidgeon of sympathy for him.

You play for one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world, with some of the best players in the world. You are paid a king's ransom every week to do something that is meant to be fun and clearly comes very easily to you. Just for once, smile like you mean it, and quit with the self piteous whinging you self obsessed little oxf*rd.
