rhroyal Still think they did enough early in the season to crawl across the line in an unconvincing manner, similar to us in 2001/02. Hilarious if they don't though.

A reluctant +1 from me.

They've still got to go to Watford and Hull on the last day.

That's a tough ask if you ask me. They'll be delving into the kids to field two teams in two locations!

Going to be tricky playing two games at the same time.

they might have to play their reserves as well if they've got to fulfill two fixtures on the same day

they may have to dig out some of the old blue kits if they're going to play two games on the same afternoon

They may require more participants if they are going to engage in two matches in the same period of time

They may want to make a few emergency loan signings if they are to play 2 association football matches in such a compact time period

They may want to explore the free transfer market if they are to have the correct amount of players required to play two matches simultaneously.

Well, after yesterdays games City have a 7 point gap plus a game in hand. Didn't play well at Sheffield Wednesday but got the result.

With hull slipping up and Watford now faltering I don't think there is a cat in hell's chance of them not going up.

Defeat at lowly Peterborough today.

Unfortunately the chasing pack - Watford, Palace and Hull - don't seem remotely interested in catching them.

Good as up. Don't mind this year as it'll mean we don't have to deal with them beating us next season.

a handy 3-0 win at home to Blackburn today was just what the doctor ordered for 'diff. Palace slipped up too, so they're 11 points clear of Watford in third. They're fast becoming uncatchable now.

Why does Blackpool's pitch look like a WW1 no mans land every week?

I can't remember the last time it looked normal

Watched the game yesterday and after the Saints debacle earlier in the day it reminded me exactly why I'm looking forward to going back to the Championship. The game was by no means a classic yet it was still played at 100mph with pacey, direct football and honest, passionate players. And most crucially of all, from the first whistle it looked like either team was able to win it.

Not only didn't make me realise just how different the Premier League is to the Championship (when either/both of those go up they'll have to significantly change their style of play, like Saints have done and we haven't - yesterday was like watching two Reading sides play each other) it also reminded me how few games this season I've been to in which one side winning wouldn't have been a shock. From Cardiff and Watford to Peterborough and Barnsley Everyone can beat everyone, whereas I've probably paid to go to a good 12-15 games this season praying that we don't embarrass ourselves and lose too heavily. It's a simplistic way of putting it, but as some who goes to football every week for a bit of excitement and camaraderie rather than to be seen to be supporting the best team possible, then I know where I'd rather be.

Well said. What's so bad about relegation from the Premier League, really? It's certainly not the end of the world and as you've pointed out there are many reasons why the fans will get better value for their time and money next season.
